December 2011 - Christmas with Mickey!! Who's Coming Along and Planning Help Thread!!

Question for the group - has anyone been to Seaworld? We are thinking of adding it to our plans but aren't 100% sure. I read that they have some neat Christmas events and I think my daughter would love the exhibits and shows. We're doing a 10 day trip and had it planned so we would have a day off for every 2-3 park days. If we add Seaworld, we would do 4 park days, then a rest day, then 4 more park days. It is me, DH and our 3 year old daughter and this is our first Disney trip. Would it be bad to lose a day of rest/downtime? We won't be staying up too late at night; we're not doing any night EMH and will probably be leaving the parks during the day so DD can nap.

Finally, if you were deciding between MVMCP or a day at Seaworld, what would you choose?

We love Seaworld! They DO decorate for Christmas and have special shows/events. You can get your picture taken with Shamu Claus! Shamu's Happy Harbor has kiddie rides. If you are using a stroller, DD can still have a nap.

On the down side, you will do a lot of walking and most of the shows are in outdoor stadiums without AC, so if it's a warm day, it won't be restful for Mom and Dad. (Having been there on most of our recent trips, including the summer one, we're well versed in which shows, attractions, and restaurants have AC and plan to experience those in the warm afternoon hours.)

We are so excited for our trip back HOME to Disney's Grand Floridian in December!!! Bytheblood, I wish you a speedy recovery. Also, Im sorry to hear about the issue with your in laws. It really is unfortunate that family just can't appreciate and enjoy each others company. I hope that with the nonsense aside, your vacation is pleasurable! Stay positive, and get well!

We will be there Dec15th-21st at POR. My husband and I went last October for our Honeymoon (his first time and he loves it almost as much as me). We will be taking my husband's DD9 for her first trip. She is the most precious thing that has come into my life. No offense to my husband, I Love him bunches too!

She talks about Disney all the time. We even had to tell her we went to Universal for our honeymoon and just stopped by Disney on a whim, so that she wouldn't get her feelings hurt.

We are suprising her and I'm so excited. It is still a few months out and I can't hardly sleep!

I just had to post somewhere how pressed down, shaken together, and running over excited I am about my Dec. Trip! It is our Anniversary/Bday/Thank God for a new Season Trip! I went into Garden Ridge yesterday and couldn't believe all the Christmas stuff they had out. It really got me pumped to decorate my campsite at the Fort. Wish I new how to make a ticker anyway 73 days!!!

Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness! I think we might be going!!! My dh is on the edge of agreeing. LOL We have talked about going for Christmas for years and last year we said we would go this year. Well...on our Disney trip last September, we brought home more than Mickey ears for a souvenir. So....now we have 4 kids and it put a little cramp in our plans. BUT, I think we might go. I've got it all planned, even airline. I just need to hit the button. Send me yummy Disney holiday vibes!

Whoo just booked a surprise trip to WDW for my son as a Christmas present! We booked 5N/6D at All Star Music from December 15th to 20th! So excited as this is our first ever holiday visit!

It is official, the soccer team DH coaches was accepted into the College Showcase tournament at the ESPN Complex. We will be staying at All Star Sports from 12/25-12/31.

We've never been at the holidays, we usually go in January or March. Any suggestions you can offer to get through the craziest of crazy times to go to WDW would be greatly appreciated!

We will be at Sports from November 27th thru December 9th. It is a short trip because we will be back very often from now on. We moved down here a couple of months ago and are now only 1.5 hours away instead of 1,000 miles.
