December 2010 CANCELLED ADR Thread - Read 1st Post (UPDATE 12-5)

Need to cancel the following ADR's, all are for party of 3. Hope some of these will help a DISer:

December 6 @ 1:40p -- Marrakesh
December 6 @ 8:25p -- Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (PRINCESSES!)
December 6 @ 9:40p -- Crystal Palace (POOH & Friends!)

December 8 @ 8:25p -- Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (PRINCESSES!)

December 10 @ 8:10p -- Biergarten

PM me if you want to coordinate one of these. I know there is another upgrade tomorrow and I'd like to cancel before that starts. But, I'll wait until at least 7:00am tomorrow (Tuesday) morning to cancel these...hoping the character meals go fast, the other two are not so high demand. So, PM me

Just thought it may be worth mentioning that I am SUSPICIOUS that MAYBE there is something weird with the reservation system. (Well, besides the things that we already know are wrong with it)

Many reservation drops/pick up have failed on this thread and I was wondering whether the person on the receiving end of the reservation was searching by time or by the general 'breakfast/lunch/dinner'. I wish these were the same, but maybe not. My theory is that searching by time works better. I think this information would be very valuable to this particular thread.

Evidence- Do any of you who had failed pick ups remember your search parameters? Mickey 25 and I noticed that for 7 min from when the reservation was dropped, I could not pick it up searching 'dinner', but finally searched 8:00 and it came right up.

Experiment-Maybe someone could drop an undesirable ressie and try to pick it back up? It would have to be unique(not available before the drop) and something you are willing to part with. (something I don't currently have)

I have had great luck picking up reservations that I've coordinated with other DIS'ers...I think in the past few days, I was able to grab about 4-5 reservations!

I found that it took about 6-7 minutes from the time the reservation was canceled till I was able to snag it. Also, I always searched for the exact (or near exact time), not by searching lunch or dinner...

A couple of times, I was able to get the reservation that was canceled for a party of 4 and my group is a party of 3...
