December 2009 Brides?

Well i'm glad its not just me. 10 weeks its been since I spoke to her.

It's been 9 weeks for me. Glad to know I am not the only one. I was thinking maybe because I'm an Escape bride this is the "normal" turnaround. I think she is behind.

For you guys that are still waiting on proposals from Rose, you may want to send a quick email to your wedding planner and to Rose. I met with her on July 21st, and she told me it would take about 3 weeks or so to do the proposal. At a little past the 3 week mark, my planner's assistant contacted me to schedule an initial budget conference call but I didn't want to do it until I received both proposals and I told her I was expecting the floral bid any day. I copied Rose on the reply, and she got the proposal to me by the end of that week (on August 14th). She said that she had been on vacation and was a little backed up.

Switching gears for a second . . . here's our anticipated schedule:

Saturday, Dec 5th
- Arrive in Walt Disney World!
- Dinner at 'Ohana

Sunday, Dec 6th
- Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern
- Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

Monday, Dec 7th
- "Celebrate Around the World" at Epcot
- Pre-Wedding Dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse
- Candlelight Processional
- IllumiNations

Tuesday, Dec 8th
- Gals: Ladies' Brunch at the Grand Floridian Cafe
- Guys: Brian "takes the plunge before he takes the plunge" (ride the Tower of Terror and lunch at the Brown Derby at Disney Hollywood Studios)
- 5PM - Wedding at the Wedding Pavilion
- 6PM to 10PM - Reception at the California Grill

Wednesday, Dec 9th
- Farewell Brunch at Chef Mickey's
- Most wedding guests will travel home

Sunday, Dec 13th
- We travel home :-(

I'm getting so excited! I hope to meet some of you there!

She told me it would take 2 days to send me some photos which I've still not had, a week after I e-mailed her and asked about a couple of other things. I've now asked my planner 3 times to chase her, today being the 3rd time as I need to know costs now to plan.

I think they are probably better with Wishes Weddings.

She told me she was behind then and for me to not expect it right away. But that I should receive something within a month. I was under the impression Rosie was ONLY for Escape brides and that there was someone else in charge of floral for Wishes?? :confused3

I have a different floral planner (wishes wedding) and we got both our BEOs a month or so ago (but our PS was in May). We're still waiting on the updates to it however. I promised myself I wouldn't pester until closer to the three month mark!

Saturday, Dec 5th
- Arrive in Walt Disney World!
- Dinner at 'Ohana

We are having dinner at Ohana on the 5th too!! How funny!

I completely forgot about this thread! I can't believe how close all of our weddings are now! It looks like there are a couple of brides that I share a wedding date with. So far the schedule is:
Dec. 9th we arrive
Dec. 10th Candlelight Processional at EPCOT
Dec. 11th Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party,
Dec. 12 and 13th trying to navigate Disney with a group of about 30 people. :scared1:That should be interesting!! LOL, it will be fun regardless of what happens!
December 14th is the wedding!! The ceremony will be in the Italy Courtyard. Brunch at Narcoossee's, and a dessert party at the U.K. lower.
Most of the guests are leaving on the 15th or 16th, and then my fiance and I are leaving Dec. 20th. We have to get home so that he can head back to work on Christmas eve and Christmas which also happens to be his birthday! I'm a little disappointed that our first christmas will be spent mostly apart, but there's not much he can do about it.

On another note, has everyone sent out their invitations yet? If not, when do you plan on doing that? I was way ahead with my invitations, having the layout and the wording all figured out months ago, and then somehow I kept putting off the actual making of them, and now I feel behind! Oh well, everyone that is going to the wedding has already made their reservations, so at this point the invitation is more of a formality.

We haven't received our floral BEO from Rosie yet either. I talked to my planner last weeks about the part of our BEO we got from her and she said Rosie's only caught up to September :confused3 Luckily I have an idea of what it's going to be based on other people's BEOs but still it would be nice to get it on paper.

We sent out of invites months ago but even then we knew who was going so it was just a formality. Now we're just finalizing travel arrangements and waiting to make our ADRs.

I'm getting so excited! I hope to meet some of you there!

If you (and any other of our fellow December brides) want to meet up we should trade info or try to come up with a time/place to try and meet up.

We were seriously considering it as well!! (It would have been Ohana or a dessert party) The 5th is the night before our cruise departs. We have had to scale back, so I don't think either option will happen at this point. But that seriously would have been a bride trifecta!! :rotfl:

What about the DISapalooza party at Hollywood Studios? We know Miss Lurkyloo will be there! :goodvibes

we're going to miss the DISappalozza! boo!

Are you planning something for the night of the 5th with your guests? If not, you should still do dinner at Ohana!

December here too! :lovestruc

Wishes Wedding December 14, 2009

Where and what time are you getting married on the 14th?

I hate that you're missing DISapalooza!!:headache:

DF's fam is coming in the afternoon/early evening of the 5th, so I know we'll be doing something with them, I just haven't figured out what yet..

I'm thinking maybe mini-golf at Winter Summerland, or meeting up at DTD for an informal get together. I'm open for suggestions if you ladies have ideas on the ultra cheap! :lmao:

I have a call booked at the beginning of Sepember with Rosie and it will be the first time I've spoken to her. My planner kept asking if she had contacted me and in the end booked a call in for us.

We are confirmed for:

9th December
Ceremony - SBP
Lunch - Sago Cay
Dinner (to be booked at 90 days) - Yachtmans Steakhouse

We plan on doing a welcome dinner the night before at The House of Blues.

Anyone else on the 9th?

I compiled all of the dates based on this thread and put into a calendar. Please let me know if I missed anything. :goodvibes
