Well, I was playing around with the WDW website this afternoon, and it appears that they have totally opened up all availability for Ft. Wilderness through January 09.

I was playing with 28 day reservations from October 1, 08 all the way through January 26, 2009 and all three categories of sites came up as available for all dates including Christmas and New Years.

So, the 500 days out is bunk, they only release a very small amount of reservations at that time.

So if you have been having trouble getting your December 08 Fort reservations, give it a try now. They appear to be wide open.

Well I'm not sure what you were doing but we have ressies for 20 Oct to 20 Nov 2008 and wanted to hit Thanksgiving 2008, but nothing was available after 11/20. DW just got off the phone with CR and still nothing available after 11/20 and also the WDW website ressies says the same thing even for like 11/19 to 11/30 2008.

Something ain't hooked up or operating right either at your end or mine.

Thanks for the Info I guess I can now call amdify my 08 Christmas reservation. Now I need one more favor, can you find out 500 days out what Diesel will be? We may be giving up one trip next year.

I got concerned when I saw a similar post last week so I went online to check availability for Christmas of 2008 and was able to make a reservation without any problems. They had partial and full sites. I got the week in a preferred site. Looking forward to spending Christmas there this year and wanted to at least have a reservation in case we want to go next year.

I made our Christmas 2008 ressies about two weeks ago. No problem. The only shock was the price increase over what our Christmas at the Fort will cost us this year. I believe it will cost us about $800.00 dollars more for next year's reservation. I must be addicted to FW

Well, I thought I would try one more time after your post, and I plugged in November 20th - December 1st, 2008 and all three levels of sites showed as available.

Well I'm on the WDW site now and DW is on the phone with CR and the WDW site shows availability and CR just confirmed additional dates are available so we now have ressies for 20 Oct to 1 Dec 2008 so we're now set to be at WDW next year for both Halloween and Thanksgiving neither of which we have ever been there for. I wish I could justify a trip also over X-mas 2008, but we've been there so many times for X-mas going twice within 3 months for 40 days at a time each trip just doesn't make sense for us.

Now if we can just get Dec 29, 30, 31 for this year all would be good.
