December 2008 Code Watch

So Thanksgiving is Nov 27 and Pop Warner week is Dec 7-13. Do we think there will be a code covering Nov 30 - Dec 6? I sure hope so.

The bounceback offer going on now covers those dates so I would be optimistic for a general code later in the summer :thumbsup2

Is anyone going Dec13-16th at WL, and then 17-20 at the Poly?
First trip here. Looking to chat.

Have you signed up on the Official Dec Thread Yet?

The first page has a list of everyone who has join it, their travel dates and where they are staying. You'll be able to hook up with people from both resorts. (I'll just miss you I leave Poly on the 15th.)

The family will be at Disney from Dec7 to Dec13 of this year. Have I picked a bad week. I keep seeing posts about avoiding the Pop Warner week. Can someone tell me what Pop Warner week is? Thanks.

pixiedust: Welcome! pixiedust:

Pop Warner is a big youth football tournament held at Wide World of Sports. The teams usually stay at the All Star resorts and Port Orleans, so you probably won't notice them unless you are staying there. They compete during the day, but you may notice some groups in the parks at night. You may also want to check their website (google pop warner) to see if you can find information on when they are going to HS, as they close that park early for them 1 night that week.

So unless you are staying at one of their resorts, I don't think you should worry at all.

I waitlisted for BWV 1 bedroom preferred view on Dec 10th. When I called (at 9am) there was a BWV 1 bedroom boardwalk view available. The member services lady kept talking and talking. I interrupted and told her to just book the room. She tried and said, "I'm sorry. The room is gone now. That's how fast they go." Arg :headache: I wait listed the preferred view because I figure my chances will be better with preferred view vs. boardwalk view.

Hello all !! I havent posted very much so I hope this is the right thread. We are going on a Disney cruise Dec 7 thru the 11th. We could not get a package for the GF with the cruise so I have to make additional reservations. The dates are Dec 11 thru dec 16 can anyone tell me if there is some sort of discount for the GF during this time frame (AAA,AARP,Disney, etc.) Another question is since I am doing the cruise first, will DWC take me to te GF or do I have to make other plans. Havent had any luck with this question.

Thanks again for any help!! Oop's almost forgot the most thing. HAPPY MOTHER'S !!!!

Thanks for the information JaxJags08. We should be ok that week. We were considering one of the All Star resorts but after our last visit in 2005 and first time staying at a "value" resort we are going to spend the money and go back to one of the Moderate resorts.

:santa: We are looking forward to our trip scheduled December 12th - 27th! Hoping for an annual pass discount as we have had one for the past three years at this time!:goofy:

I'm going to book through AAA (we changed our dates, now 12/06/08-12/13/08) and I hope there is some kind of code that comes out like the free dining. My AAA TA says they can add the credit/code, and I hope she's right, because she has told me things before and found out later she was wrong......:confused3

Well, you can be pretty sure free dining won't be one of them in December. The code for December should come out in August, like they did last year. And actually the AAA rate was still better than the AP or general codes for the last 2 years, especialy if you are staying at any resort other than Value. You AAA agent should be able to add/change the ressie, but that is only if your room category is included in the released code, if not, you are out of luck.

I am an Australian visiting between 7 December and 13 December. Are there any promo codes for hotels or deals during this time?

I booked at WL in a bunk bed room a while ago and asked for a AAA discount. They said it wasn't available on that room. Does that usually mean that even if a discount came out in Aug. it would not apply to my bunk bed room???

Does anyone think that AP codes "might" cover the holiday rate dates leading up to Christmas like Dec. 19, 20, 21, 22, and 23 ??? I have AAA rates, but they only go thru December 18 and we're staying until the 23rd...:confused3

This is what I had found in searches of last year's AP rates for December. Hope it helps.
