We're booked the 7-14 at WL also. One of the reason my DH has partially agreed to this trip is because I told him we could enjoy the Christmas decorations and it would be a little less crowded. Now I'm not so sure. I'm still hoping it will be a little better than our June trip. It will be fun no matter what though.

You'll be at the WL the same exact days that we are. We are booked in a courtyard view room with bunk beds. Right now, I am more worried about the airlines changing our flights again than I am about the crowds. I just hope that the crowds are better than the summer crowds. Have a great trip. I'm planning on making a green wreath with green Mickey heads to take and put on our door.

Hello everyone, I'm new to the codes everyone is talking about so I was hoping someone could help clue me in. We are scheduled to be at POP 11/28 - 12/5 and are currently booked through AAA discount. Could there be any code coming out in August that might beat the deal I already have with my AAA discount? Would I have to upgrade from POP to get the discount?

We've gone several time the first or second week of December and the crowds have always been VERY manageable, especially if you have a plan. Remember that the hotel crowd level doesn't always affect the park crowds, especially when groups such as Pop Warner fill up the rooms but don't make much of a dent in the parks.

December is such a great time to go...don't get discouraged!

We're staying in a regular courtyard view room. I'm not overly worried about the crowds. I'm just excited to go at Christmastime. I haven't been since I was a kid. We're driving this time so I don't have to worry about flights. I wanted to be able to pack as much as I wanted since the weather is so unpredictable at that time. Have a great trip!

Did last years visa discount include dining in the package? Did it save more money than the AAA discount? We were hoping to have the dining plan for part of our stay but it would cost us more at this point.

I know someone else posted that it was room only or room only with tickets. Not true you could have the DDP (room, tickets, dining) too. Keep in mind that the discount was only off room price. It was a 40% off deal and ONLY off rack rates for the room. The discount to my knowledge, has never been off the entire package! I have used this discount for the last 3yrs that I can remember. It has always come out in August, I have used it for Nov (Thanksgiving time) and Dec trips, and it has always been right around 40% off the rack rate for rooms.

Also a note, your resort might not have availibilty, so you might have to find a resort that does if you want to use the code. Like last year, POFQ was not avail. for our dates, so we went with the POR.

I booked our Dec2008 trip back inJan using a code similar to the DV code (just came out waayyy earlier) and again POFQ wasn't avail. so we went with POR.

I am hoping POFQ becomes avail. with the DV code and I will switch then.

We are staying at the Poly and have had reservations for months. I am assuming that they have a fixed number of rooms at that price and not just availability at the resort. Is it the same discount at deluxes as it is mod? Do they offer it for concierge rooms? We are splurging this year for our 10th aniversary.

I would guess that if a winter code comes out it wouldn't begin until 11/30 (Sun after Tgiving). 11/28 and 11/29 are still going to be quite packed at the hotels/parks since Tgiving is the 27th this year. No need to discount a time of year that is already crowded at full price.

If you are on a room only, and a code comes out starting 11/30, you could split your ressie for 11/28 and 11/29 on AAA and 11/30-12/5 with the new discount. If you are on a package with DDP etc. It wouldn't be worth the savings to change since you would need park tickets on both ressies.

We have had to change from WL to hopefully POFQ, because DH hasn't been getting the overtime he usually does in the summer and we won't be able to afford the extra $900, so we are changing. I am still waiting to hear from the Disney AAA office in Orlando to see if they got what I wanted.

I currently have a AAA discount at WL, but I dropped that because it makes a better deal to do rack and the dining plan (AP holders package), then I can add the AP discount when it comes out.

We (myself, DH, DS9 & DS6) are resverved for POFQ Dec. 5-14. We passed on a 40% code because it would not allow all of the dates we needed. It was only good Dec 7-Dec 13, we could not add on days at the rack rate. Also we are traveling with friends, DW, DH DD8 that are insist on staying at POFQ only. The code was not available there. We have considered staying at POR if the August code is not available at POFQ but POP WARNER will be there.

I really like the looks of POFQ and the small size of it which is important for our friends DH physical limitations.

Any ideas for alternate locations are welcome, suggestions or just finger crossing for a POFQ discount.

No- it would be 30% at best, but 20%-25% is more realistic.
