I would like to know this too! I might just give them a call though and see if anything is attached to my name before I book. (more than likely I am booking something today anyways though!)

I would say anything is possible. If you already have a trip scheduled, I don't think they would attach a code to your name for that trip. But would it hurt to call, no of course not. Nothing to lose.

Yes! I have done this before - the codes seem to be indiscriminate. I have called, found a code attached and applied it As long as it is good for your dates and for the kind of room booked they can change it.

Some codes are good for room only, some for a pkg, so it is definitely worth checking!

Well, I just called to update my parents reservation. The woman said that there was a code attached to her household but the address doesn't match (we've changed their household address a couple of times in the past few years and I can't remember which one it is and I've tried all the ones I can remember) - so they won't apply the code.

Any ideas on how to get around that?

Well i called and of course there wasn't a code. Oh well, I put our trip on hold for now. Just have to get the final ok from DH and will start the payments...Can only hope for a general code now.

Well you must of called in time I just called to check on next year for staying at the Poly and the systems are down for UPDATES she told me . HMMMM they just did this a few days ago.

Lets hope its code time for us!

When I called, the woman who picked the call said that her system was being updated. She tried about 5 times to transfer me to someone else and then was able to get in and do a few things - since she didn't actually end up CHANGING the reservation. I was wondering why she was picking calls when she couldn't do much (and obviously didn't know how to transfer a phone). She said it was only her but obviously it wasn't. The Mon morning after an announcement, I think, is NOT the time to do a system update!

Oh that would be WONDERFUL if there is a system update going on! Maybe there will be SOMETHING to get DH to say yes without thinking twice about it!

I finally talked DH into a December trip - 12/08/07 - 12/15/07 - made ressies last week . We went in June and he wasn't quite sure he was ready to go back (took my in-laws and they almost ruined the magic for him ). This time it's just me, DH, DD and DS. I'm praying there will be a code we can use...DH needs some Disney magic .

If you have AAA definitely keep checking because room availability keeps changing! There was nothing but we kept trying and now have a AAA rate

We tried the AAA rate too...no luck . Even went through AAA TA first. Ended up not booking with them and went out on our own. So, should I call each day to see if one is available? We are staying at the Poly.

If you are flexible on which resort you stay, you may have better luck with another resort. CAA/AAA has so many rooms blocked off per resort. Last year we couldn't get a ressie at POP through CAA but we could get a ressie at All-Star Sports through CAA. Its worth a try. Plus, people tend to cancell closer to the deadline they have to pay off their trip, so you may want to try again closer to that time.

It seems like it might be busier than usual...my ta said rooms were booking fast and not a lot of things were left. Who knows what's being held by AAA or conventions though...

A code is a discount that you can use for making a reservation to get a special... right?!?!? but what is it that people are talking about when they say "its attached to your name???" I am confused!!!
