It took me 1 1/2 hours to get the code. To make a long story short I have a Grand Gathering & was on hold 2 x. 70 min for the grand gathering group.

Anyway 9 nights POR with meal plan Dec 22 until 31. I saved $225.00 My brother got $270.00

Help! I just called with the code and was quoted a price $100 more than our original price. How can this be? Am I paying more now because of the MYW ticket price increase. I'm currently calling back now to get another CM.
We are staying at POR DEC. 19-29. Can anyone help me out if you are in the same situation. Thanks

It's because if you are using the code the new daily rates apply now, rather than in 2008 (bookings made now without the code for 2007 do NOT get charged the daily rate.) It was in the full text about the discount and AP rates which I saw on Intercot (I think). With not all of your dates in the value season, plus the daily rate, it's entirely possible that the rate will be higher.

Which sucks...caveat emperor....thank you, Disney!

As far as I know, it's not because of the MYW ticket price increase. It's because when they apply the code, your ressie changes to variable nightly rates. It only happens when you apply the code. So, your current package w/o the code is booked entirely at a value season rate because you check-in on the last day of the value season. When you apply the code, your package changes to 1 night value season rate and 10 nights holiday season rate. And the discount is applied to that. This is happening to everyone who overlaps the seasons.

Officially, they are going to start having variable nightly rates for every package booked in 2008. But they are also putting this into effect for anyone who applies a code to their package for the remainder of 2007. I know, it's confusing.

Unfortunately you got the short end of the stick and ended up owing more due to this change. This is happening to other folks here too. I am going Dec 17-26 to POFQ and ended up with a savings of $240. It would have been more had I booked my stay entirely in the value season (as other DISers have done with savings of $400+). I am lucky and grateful that I got some savings. If you can't switch your dates around, you need to keep your original package which was booked entirely at value season rates.

I am so happy - we have a booking from 6 to 16 December (10 days). I phoned and applied the ZQH general public code and saved $517. Spending money - whoo hoo

The codes are...

For MYW, ask for Code ZQG
For MYW plus dining, ask for Code ZQH

Called disney...uuggghhh!! My trip is booked (paid in full) for Dec 15-22. I was told the same thing. My trip would go up!

This sucks... Iwas told when I booked I could always apply a code later on.
I need to check the dates value/holiday. If it is all value I should get a discount right??

My TA rocks!!!!!!!!! She got my 2 rooms at the Poly Dec15-21 reduced $648!!!
As a % it isn't great but I was thrilled!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, you are able to apply a code...it just isn't saving you any money.

Value Season ends 12/19 for all resort levels. I think that is effecting your reservation more than anything else as you have 2 days at the holiday season rates. However, the value resorts don't charge weekend rate differences (I think) so you might save some money there if Ft Wilderness does charge weekend rates.

It doesn't hurt to call and ask - good luck!

ETA - I just looked at the FW rates and they have a "pre-holiday rate" on the campsites. Here's a link that shows the 2008 dailyrates. http://www.mousesavers.com/ftwilderness2008.html#campsites I don't think the 2008 rates are applied to your ressie with the code, but you can see the days that will be charged differently anyway, at whatever the 2007 rate is. Does that make sense??

Right now I think it's luck of the draw, not the TA. My TA told me that with the computers going up and down and with so many people switching and upgrading it's really nuts. POP doesn't seem to have much availability anyway, but she's going to keep checking for me over this next week.

I think the difference may be that you are now being charge "holiday rates for the nights of the 20th and 21st) This is a new thing...

just curious does anyone know the diff b/w the dining or no dining discount. If I use the code I will have to pay $100 more. We do not have dining...do you know if you receive a discount on dining?? If I upgrade to dining and use that code- would I be receiving a discount?

We're booked December 1-5 at POR, but were hoping to upgrade to WL or AKL. (My family and my parents - 2 rooms) We tried through Central Reservations, the special AP number (my parents have Aps) and AAA and everyone is saying that there's no availability either of those places on any of the codes posted here or on allearsnet. For what it's worth they did say that our rate at POR is "really good."

Oh well... Hope the Pop Warner folks aren't too bad. I'd never even heard of them till I had booked.

I am not sure whats going on here with the codes and discounts. I am waiting to hear back from our TA at Mouseketrips who is taking care of it for me.

SO am I going to get a discount on my entire trip? Just the dates of the 18th and 19th? OR will there be nothing at all for me because of my dates???

I called my TA he has been on the phone for HOURS upon HOURS to get things discounted. he said he will let me know when he gets to mine.

I am just wondering if I am getting all excited and my hopes up for a BIG let down in the end ??!

Yippee,got AP discount for All Stars Dec 1st - 13th (original booking $1111.92 )The new total is $804.12...so well chuffed.

Sadly no discount for our 2 nights at AKL 13th - 15th Dec...did nobody get one for there??

I gotta tell you I think that is such BS that we have booked our stuff and that they can actually cause the price to go up BEFORE 2008 ,when our start date is in 2007.

I am hoping that Scott our TA is a miracle maker for us! I know he was swamped with changing so many reservations.

I am going to start planning on there is no discount for me and then if I get one it will be a great surprise.

I would change to another resort if thats what it would take to get it but I seem to think its more about the dates then anything else.


If anyone knows the answer to my OP please let me know !

Finally got through. I was able to save $216 on our BWI package.
When I checked the reservation online to confirm, it doesn't show the "Magic Your Way Package plus Dining" that was on the previous reservation, when I called to ask about it they said not to worry, it's there. Should I be worried?
