Hi, it's time to start a December Solo thread. When are you going to be in Disney in December and what special plans have you made?

I'm going to be there December 15-20th, and originally had reservations at PO-FQ, but was moved to WL Woodsview when the French Quarter was scheduled to close for renovations. Will have 4 day hopper passes (won't be doing the water parks), will tour the resorts the first afternoon to view the decorations and go to DTD for dinner, plan to attend MMVCP one evening, do at least one character meal, do EE whenever possible and E-ride night(s), plus a afternoon nap break each day.

Can't wait until December!!

Going home on the 12th to see Mickey. Will be having a Mickey Christmas Party on the 14th and returning to the real world on the 16th. I can't wait.

Well the above plans have changed slightly. I will be leaving here on December 11 :) I will be staying ASMu from the 11-13 and then dream come true I'm moving to Pop Century the 14-16 :bounce: I will be leaving late afternoon on the 17. I'm so excited.

Going with my mum on Dec 23rd (night-time arrival) until Dec 31st - 8 nights of the Christmas Mouse!

Staying at CBR, we have annual passes. Plan on using EMH when we can. Also planning on having lots of PS's. This is going to be a very 'foody' holiday for us.

We want to do the CP package at EPCOT on Dec 24th.

Going 12/6-12/12 solo. First night at BWV (just to try it), then going over to BCV, my solo "home" (versus "home with DH-OKW). This is my first trip at this time of year (between Thanksgiving and Christmas), really looking forward to CP and taking the Yuletide Fantasy tour, neither of which I've been able to do before. Also looking forward to seeing Cast in Bronze a few times. One time their last day there was my first day, so I caught one performance. Can't wait!

Also, would love to hook up with others for an Illuminations Cruise.

Will be in WDW Dec. 1-8 at the Dolphin. Managed to book it thru Priceline last Feb. when the Swan/Dolphin was showing up. Might be going solo as DBF doesn't have a job yet (keeping our fingers crossed!!!), but a friend of mine will be there the same week so hopefully I won't get too lonely!!! :smooth:

katypop:
Where'd you go to get you MVMCP tickets? Will be there for 2 days in June and would prefer to get them there.

Thanks

I will be there solo for 12/5 - 12/11. I will spend 3 nights at The Swan, and then 3 nights at BWV one bedroom unit.
I rented the points for BWV. I hope to do MVMCP on Tues. Dec 9th, although I have not bought the ticket yet.

I just can't wait to go !!

All the rides are not open, alot of them are, but not all. I agree though the MVMCP is the greatest. I have gone the past two years and love it!
The snow on main street is great, the parade is fun and the shows are wonderful.

my son and i visited the GF this past December and it is beautiful, the gingerbread house is really neat. It is the most beautifully decorated resort in my opinion.

I will miss the Christmas decorations, I wanted to go in September for a change, trying to get some water park time in this trip.

I believe that in past years the only MVMCPs that tend to sell out are the ones on the weekends - I'm going to wait a little while to get mine as I'm not sure who'll be going with me!!! :smooth:

I was hopeing all the rides would be open they were 5 years ago
if not thats ok most will be. Then there is the shows. There is
a lot to do anyway I can't wait.

hi travelin'tigger,
i asked about the tickets 1st at MK at guest relations, the girl was very surprised i was asking about christmas tickets LOL but she went and asked and checked in the computer and said they were available. she could have sold them there but i wanted to think about the dates a little 1st so waited a couple days. i asked at the desk at CSR where i stayed if they could sell them too and that is where i ended up buying them:D have fun in june:D

DH and I will be at the Contemporary (thru Shades of Green) for the most beautiful time of the year at the most magical place on earth!

We already have our MVMCP tickets for Dec. 11th.

See ya all soon!

Hi,

I am going to be at WDW Dec 26 to Jan 3. I currently have a reservation at the Swan for a Club level room, but am unsure about staying here since I have not been since 1980 when I was 6.

I don't really know where I want to stay at this point, but made the reservation at the Swan as my back up plan.

I would love to stay at CBR and would really like to stay at Contempory, but might be a little out of my reach price wise.

I currently paying 209.06 for my room at the Swan, but would have to get an AP to get this price.

I am afraid that I will choose the wrong resort and will not enjoy my trip.

Any help for a single traveler would be great.

Thanks,

Hi all,

I am going from 11/28 through 12/7 on first solo trip. I will be purchasing an AP and will be waiting to reserve room on property when the codes for that time come out. I will be staying off site a few days and onsite a few days as well. This upcoming trip I intend to play a game of minature golf, enjoy a water park (if the area manages to heat up enough at least on one day of the stay) and enjoy the sing-a-long and hay ride one night at Fort Wilderness. Otherwise I will in the parks riding something.

As for MVMCP, we attended last Dec 5th, 2002. All of the rides weren't open (CoP was closed and we were disappointed). However, the special x-mas parade, shows and fireworks (although an hour late)were excellent. As 12/5 was a Friday night, it was the only MVMCP that was sold out at that time and it was crowded (SM 30 min wait, HM had a 25 min wait). I am on the boarder this trip if I will purchase the tickets, but if I do, I will definately purchase one for during the week. Also, if your looking to eat at LTT before enjoying your night at MVMCP, make your ressie's asap as I have been seeing that the times for some dates are going quickly.

There will be some sort of meet and greets going on the weekend of 12/6 for many people who frequent the different Disney boards so I hope to meet a few of you there.

When are you going to be in Disney in December and what special plans have you made?

We are going to WDW for our honeymoon, Dec. 14-26. First 5 nights in Pop Century Resort, then transfer to the Wilderness Lodge for the remainder of our stay.

Special Plans:
1. Attending MVMCP Dec. 19th
2. Attending CP, not sure what date I want to shoot for.
3. Try to get a PS for Cinderella's Breakfast Christmas morning (yea right, good luck... )
4. Plan something special for my fiance'. (This plan isn't definiate yet.) Can't say what it is, he's a member of this board!

Thanks,

Jason - I think the Swan is a great place for a solo traveller. It's so near a lot of the action with the Boardwalk in walking distance and EPCOT and MGM a boatride away or you can walk to these as well. The other thing I like about the Swan is that if you are at a loose end then you can always pay for an inhouse movie - which sadly you can't do at the other WDW properties. I spent a lovely cozy December afternoon wrapped in my duvet on my "heavenly" bed watching Lilo and Stitch and had a fabulous time.

Also that's a good price for the most expensive time of year and Club as well. Lots of activities as well happen in the Dophin and Swan over the Xmas period. I think you've made a good choice.
