Was looking tonight and there were no categories above category 6.

I booked category 12 guaranteed with 4 people. I know we automatically go to at least category 11 because 4 people won't fit in Category12.....Wonder where that leaves us?

Both my son and my Friend's son are now 14 years old.

Our names : Me=Charley and my son Jacob. My best friend is Heidi and her son's name is Zackary.

We are excited. We still want to be part of Fish extenders...

We haven't been assigned a cabin yet.

Thanks for the info. We’ll update your line and move you to the F/E list the next time it gets posted. Just let us know when they assign your cabin number and we’ll update that as well. Normally DCL will assign the GTY cabins some where between 30 and 45 days out. This past summer, we got our cabin assignment right at 45 days, but 30 days seems to be more common.

For those who are considering joining in on the F/E but aren’t sure that you can make or find your own extender… here’s another families excellent take on just how simple it can be:

Like we said in our introduction, almost anything will qualify, and this simple F/E worked as well and was just as much fun as the most elaborate one we’ve ever seen. So, if your sitting on the fence, we say, “Dude! Jump on in, the water’s righteous!”

Do we just bring the thing for the door and a bunch of small gifts? Or is there a thread where those participating are listed with room numbers, etc...?

You’re exactly where you need to be. We’re the unofficial keepers of the F/E and DIS-Members lists for the "Holidays of Wonder" Cruise (Dec 20-23, 2009), and we just wanted to give you a little shout out and say that we’re all glad to have you along with us.

We see that you’re interested in taking part in the Fish Extender Exchange (F/E for short). We’ll go ahead and use the info we pulled form your post to add you to a spot on the exchange list (which we republish on this thread about once a week depending on the number of changes that have been made). When you get a chance, there is the little bit of data we need to make it official:

“Cabin-Nbr – DIS-Name – Crew Names & kids ages”

as an example, for us it look like this:

“2035 - GoofyIsAsGoofyDoes - Rob & Tamara, DS14:Max”

This will help everyone taking part to be able to find your cabin onboard the ship and get to know who you are. If you have any questions about the F/E, the Wonder, DCL in general or anything else for that matter, just post it here or on the boards and someone will probably be able to help you find an answer. Here’s the most current F/E and members list for Dec 20. Some groups have GTY cabins and don’t yet know their stateroom numbers. That’s cool, just let us know when you finally get an assignment (likely in mid November). If you already know your cabin number, then just post it here and we’ll pick it up and update the lists. Also let us know if we need to update anything that’s listed here (cabin changes, member names, kids ages, move on to or off of the F/E list, ect…). Holler out if you have any questions.

I am such a newbie - just joined the boards last night! - and I am already overwhelmed and feeling waaaay behind in the planning category!!

We are on this cruise!!!! Our first Disney cruise ever (only 2nd for DH and me). I AM SO EXCITED!!! We are trying to keep our whole trip a secret for as long as possible for our DD and DS's...

We are in on the F/Es!! Sooo cool!!

I have no idea what cabin we are in.

We’ll add your group to our list and update the current version on the boards as well. Just let us know when DCL assigns you a cabin number (you can either check you reservation on the DCL site about 30ish days before we sail or it will be printed on you luggage tags which should arrive at about the same time). Would you like to list your Parent’s and/or your Brother’s family names & cabin (when you know it) on our members list, or for that matter, would they be interested in playing along in our little reindeer game?

I got our plane tickets tonight!!! I am so excited!!! We got a really good deal (I think so, anyhow).

Next jobs to tackle: hotel for 3 nights before the cruise and rental car for afterwards.

Question (sorry if this is the wrong forum to post this): if we stay on Disney property before the cruise, do they cut you a deal to get a shuttle to the port? Do they even offer shuttles from Disney property to the port (we are not on a land & sea package)? I appreciate any help with this!!

If you are not doing the Land/Sea then you have a couple of things to consider.

If you are driving your own car to the resort where you are staying before the cruise, they will issue you a parking pass at the time you check in, but the pass will expire on the day you check out. They don’t generally let you leave your car at the resort.

If your are flying in, then they will bring you to the resort from MCO for no charge, but you will be charged for the transfer to the port. Disney does offer this type of shuttle to the port, but they are not cheap. You might do better hiring a town car to take you to Canaveral. You also need to consider whether or not your going back to WDW or to the airport after you return. Here is a link to a section on the FAQ which discuses transfers and might be useful:

Glad to have you join in. The more the merrier!! We’ve found that roaming the DIS boards and keeping up with the thread does help the time pass a little easier and it keeps us up to date with everything DCL. Let us know if your sister’s group wants to participate in the F/E or if they would just like to be added to the members list and we’ll add them on. We updated the F/E & Members list and we’ll republish the most current version in the next post.

They will give you a map when you check in at the terminal, but The Promenade Lounge is easy to find. It’s open to the main walkway on Deck-3. When you board the Wonder in Port Canaveral, you’ll be on Deck-3. “Triton’s“ will be immediately on your left. As you cross to the other side of the main lobby you will sea the Guest Services desk on your right and the port side hall leading to the aft elevators and Parrot Cay on you left. Just head down the hall and you’ll walk right by the lounge. Don’t know how many folks will show up, but we’ll be there greeting people and handing out info. See you then.
