December 2,2006...Anyone want to join us?

I just called DCL about the movies onboard for our cruise, and here's the list I got. I would love to see Narnia in the big theater, and we all have been waiting to see Santa Clause 3 on the cruise.

Cars
Chicken Little
Deja vu
8 below
Narnia
Pirates of the Caribbean Dead man's chest
Santa Clause 3
Shaggy dog
Guardinan
Prestige
The Wild
Stick it
Invincible

I think the promenade lounge at 3 sounds good.

We still haven't got our docs yet either. Maybe the TA will call today :confused3

This is our first cruise. I'm assuming a magnet exchange means that you bring a magnet, but is it just one, and does it need to be a "state" magnet?

I'm getting soooo excited I can hardly stand it! I would love to see Santa Clause 3 onboard too!

Isn't 3pm time for the safety drill? The only thing about a meet on the first day is that everyone is so excited and trying to see everything, unpack, some getting ready for early dinner, that not too many people show up for the meet or forget about it in all the excitement. :confused3

The magnet exchange could be a state magnet or homemade magnet and one for everyone who would like to participate. I know on another cruise some Disers even did a "tag" where they put little bags of goodies on each stateroom door and that sounded like fun but might be a little more work :teeth:

Looking forward to cruising! Hope everyone had a great weekend!!!

Maybe Saturday at 4:30pm? That way there is still time for those who have an early dinner to get ready. I guess we need to find out exactly how many for the exchange.

We did the early dinner last year and we are doing the late dinner this year, anyone else? If you have done the late dinner before, any disadvantages?

4:30 sounds great i have the late seating every cruise ive been on ive had the late seating i think the only advantage is that you dont have to stop what your doing esp if your in port to go get ready for the early dinner. my kids are night owls i gotta fight with the twins to go to bead at 1030
sill no doc here in nj :confused3

Hello!

i just about kissed the UPS man when he came knocking on my door! He had DH's Dale & Thomas Popcorn for the movies onboard & my Cruise DOCS!!!! yayyyy we are official (well I guess we were when they charged the Credit card) but this seems so much more official. I get to see DH in about a week after 4 mos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOO HOO!

Everybody I need pixie dust for DH to have a safe return flying in from Iraq....
We NEED this R & R!

4:30 is ok by me. We have early seating time. No call from the TA yet :sad2: I have so many things swimming around in my brain hopefully I don't forget something! I've just been thinking about the number of suitcases. I plan on starting to pack a couple of nights before just in case I don't have enough! DH has no concerns at all, I guess that's because I get to do it all!

Our documents came today :cool1:

I could be wrong but I think the safety drill is at 4:00 and the sail away party is at 4:30. Does anyone else know? :confused3

Thank you for posting these! I was just thinking of calling and you saved me a call ;) :thumbsup2

The kids can't wait to see Santa Claus! looks like we will go see the Happy Feet penguin cartoon this weekend :grouphug:

i just looked at a navigator from 10/07/06 ang the boat drill ends at 415 and the sail a way party begins at 430 i dont know if you guys want to meet before the drill??? or the next day

I know I won't be able to meet that time. I missed the sail away party last time because I was signing forms at the kids clubs and never even heard the horn! I will not miss it this time, plus we have main dining so we'll be going back to the room to change at some point.

No cruise docs, but the TA told me that she received them for one cabin and is waiting for the second set before she mails them to us. Last time we didn't get ours from MAW until 10 days before, so I won't worry yet. But at this point, the TA'd better overnight express them!

TA just called back, second set of docs for cabin #2 arrived this afternoon, she sent them out with DHL this afternoon! Maybe I'll see them by Saturday. Even so, because almost everything is online now, she said it wouldn't matter if we didnt' get them. But it's still nice to get them in my hot little hands!

OHH!! I thought of all of you this evening! I made Palo chocolate souffle for the family and everyone loved it! Now I'm going to have to have everyone order two (we're going to Palo dinner with my sister and her husband) and we'll pack one up each to bring back to the kids. Yup, I spoil them!

Hey everyone! Haven't posted for awhile but I've been keeping up by reading your posts. Been so busy with work and my girls theater productions. My youngest DD just finished playing Taylor in our community theater's production of Disney's High School Musical. It was great but I'm glad it's over so we can concentrate on getting ready for the cruise. We're finishing our packing over Thanksgiving weekend and I'm trying to put the finishing touches on my door magnets---my brother's helping since I'm not very computer savvy! I sent my DDs' teachers reminder letters about the cruise and they've all been very nice about them missing class for five days. We're not flying up until early Saturday morning due to work/school conflicts so pray for good weather! The fire drill is always at 4:00 pm so I would suggest meeting before then. Can't wait to meet everyone. See you all soon! :cool1: :cool1:

Good Morning all~ WoW is it COLD here in NH. HOLY MOLY - My nose is soo cold that even with Piglet's nose warmer it wouldn't help.

I woke at 2 am this morning going through my checklist.
'did I remember clothes pins?' 'where is the duct tape?' finally I got up at 3 so as not to wake the dog and the husband - hehe...

so my laundry is folded, dishes washed, bills looked at *to be paid tomorrow* and Christmas Cards done and ready to mail on friday!....

I also looked at my dateminder and realized I am in meetings ALL day today - so I am sure half way through a very important meeting I will fall sound asleep! ehehe.

Tonite is baking night for Thanksgiving. Tomorrow the company starts to arrive along with the DELL computer guy - since DD fried her brand new computer harddrive on Sunday! That was a quick computer - only two months old! - thank GOODNESS for the extended program - no cost to replace the harddrive - the timing could be a bit better. But the tech guy said that they will be working till 11pm on the day before each holiday....and DD needs her computer to get two weeks worth of school work done with in the next week.

I looked at the paperwork from DCL and it appears to be a breeze - will fill it out on 11/30 as I sit in my hotel room - not being able to sleep - since at 5 am the next morning we depart from Logan Airport in Boston for our MAGICal vacation! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Would maybe 3 be better? Also how many magnets are we supposed to bring? I'm a newbie! No docs yet, I might call the TA today unfortunately I'm not the most patient person :teeth:

I am thinking of using a picture from the cruise for our X-mas cards so hopefully I'll have time when returning to get it all done!
