December 19, 2013 - 3 Night Bahamian Cruise

No, I can't believe I am excited for December a cold weather month to get here, ha, ha!!! Well at least this year I won't be shoveling for a few days, lol!

Another Friday here! A colder, windy, rainy start to our Memorial Day week-end. Oh well, one more day closer to our cruise!

Still deciding whether to keep our ressie at the airport or stay at WDW. The military rates at WDW hotels in December have not come out yet, so I am waiting to see.

Any thoughts? As if we stay at the airport, no car, but will need to rent another day if staying at WDW. We arrive around dinner time.

What time you get in? We come in night before too.

We get in around 6:45pm. I thought about paying for another night, but with the weather hard to predict that time of year, I wanted to be in O and not have to hurry.

Hello all,

Travel plans have changed and we will be going to Brazil for this holiday season so we have moved our dates for our sailing.

Have a blast and Happy Holidays.

Hi all! I am a first time Disney cruiser and am so excited for this trip. This will be a family retreat to celebrate my youngest son's birthday, who we welcomed and said goodbye to on December 18th of this past year. I am hoping that some fun family time away, doing something amazingly awesome, will help ease the pain of this first year for the whole crew. Sailing with me will be my husband and three kids: Patrick (9), Abigail (4), and Annalee (1). My parents will also be joining us. They, my parents, are very reluctant sailors that I have basically told have to join us. I'm hoping a little Disney magic will change their minds. As of right now, the trip is a total surprise to my kids. They know that Daddy and I have asked Santa for something really awsome for Christmas, but they have no clue. I can't wait until we start dropping a few clues for them a few days ahead of time and the long trip south with no idea of where we are going. I can hardly stand the suspense of waiting to see their faces as we drive up to the terminal. Ohhh! I can't wait! I'm even excited about the millions of questions I will get asked about why we are making little crafts for people. I think the fish extender idea is so great. Especially around the holiday season. We are in stateroom #7610 and the parentals are in stateroom GTY. (Not sure what that means tho.)

Can't wait to set sail for a little Magic!

:welcome: and :welcome: to the Disboards!!! The Mickey bars are to the left and the line to the AquaDuck starts here.

We'll get you added to the Roll Call and the FE as well.

The category GTY stands for Guarantee, which means they are guaranteed to have a stateroom in the category they requested, but if for some reason that category is not available, then they will be placed in a stateroom of equal or of a better category.

OMG the wait is killing me. Booked this in October 2011, yes 2011!!! It's getting so close. Can I keep the secret for 6 more months???????
