Greetings from soggy Seattle/Tacoma. I am so glad someone started this tread!

We are a party of 5:
Janet (mom)
Bob (dad)
Sherrie (gramma)
Bentli (dsd13)
Sydni (dd4)

This will be Bentli's first cruise and the second cruise for the rest of us. we were on the Dream in July and are now addicted.

My teenie bopper is very excited about participating in the FE and while it is still over a year away, she has started planning. So, if a FE is started please count us in.

We are looking forward to getting to know people before we sail, and I would like for Bentli to have the opportunity to connect with other teens before the cruise so the club won't be filled with complete strangers.

Hello and welcome to the thread. This will be my third Disney cruise. I was on the Dream Sept. 11-18 on a b2b cruise. We are taking our niece Brianna (she'll be 12 when we sail) this will be her first cruise ever. I'd love to participate in an FE and will happily start one when we get more people involved although I've never started an FE I participated in 2 aboard the Dream.
I look forward to our sailing I was born and raised in Southern California but now live in Ohio.

Thanks for your reply. I know that we have a long wait, but I am still very excited. I am a teacher and the hubby is retired from the air force, so budgeting a cruise every 2 years will be an economic adventure. I am soooo glad we can book so far in advance. Makes it much more affordable!

Cruising is a new addiction for our family, so it is comforting to be able to meet others who understand our family's excitement. Knowing that y'all understand the excitement of Disney magic and believe in pixie dust is just an added bonus!

My mom (gramma) is a so cal girl. She lives in Glendale. And Bentli is excited that you have a 12 yr old daughter!

Hello everyone! A week ago today we were celebrating at Castaway Cay on the last day of our Eastern Caribbean cruise aboard the Magic.

We rebooked on board for the December 16, 2012 Mexican Riviera. This will be our sixth Disney cruise (hello, gold Castaway Club status).

We are now organizing a larger group of family members to join us on this cruise. Five or six of DW's siblings and their families have indicated an interest in cruising with us.

We are Larry, Janee, and Marcus (son who will be 21 when we cruise).

I hope this will be an active cruise meet group. We had great fun with the October 8, 2011 group on the Magic. By next year we will have forgotten all the work that went into preparing FE gifts, so I'll bet we will participate again - especially if the family has some young cruisers, it was so much fun for them.

Let's have some fun for the next 14 months anticipating a great vacation on board the Wonder!

Saying hello here! We had a dummy date booked, but decided to move that to this date. We are cruising the Wonder next week (!!!) over the Christmas holiday on the 8 night Holiday cruise. We figured to save a bunch of money and cruise a week earlier for this cruise, since the kids are out of school the 14th in 2012!! We are Disney cruise addicts for sure- this will be DCL cruise #10 for DH and myself, and #7 for our kids who will be 15 (Rachel) and 12 (Kyle). We will have cruised 5x on the Wonder before this cruise- she is our favorite ship. Well, I have a b2b on the Dream in March so we will see! Next week will be our 2nd MR cruise on the Wonder.

If anyone has any questions about the Wonder in general, or holiday activities on the ship- let me know and I will report back after we return on the 26th!!

Don't know how everyone is feeling after the cancellations, but our family is pretty disillusioned.

Holiday cruises are some of the best selling out there and for Disney to thumb their nose to those of us who pre-plan so we can afford a Disney experience is just wrong. There is no way we can change to a Caribbean cruise on the same dates as the price is double what we were going to pay plus airfare from Seattle.

So, I guess another cruise line will get our dollars this time around. Hope everyone finds terrific new options for your family vacations. If you have any family friendly cruise lines you would recommend I would appreciate the info. I know it wont be Disney, but there has to be another line with safe and engaging kids clubs.

Well we had fun while it lasted. I hope to see you all on future cruises. So long MR cruise. I hoping they give us a Hawaiian or something fun. If not then I'll be paying for a trip out of FL.

Same here. Disillusioned is not even the right word. We were onboard the Wonder when the cancellations happened, and it was so sad. Onboard staff were great but the runaround I get from customer service sucks. We're in the same boat as to not being able to afford the similar dates for the Caribbean cruises especially with the airfare costs.

Has anyone had any luck with customer service from DCL in this situation? I spoke to Annabel and Todd (both nice, but can't do crap for ya), and a supervisor named Ginger who was not very nice and refuses to give us a name above her or the name of anyone we can write to, either by email or by letter. ***?! You can't give me a name to write a letter to? Just disneycruise.com? We all know a form letter is what comes from there.

So sad. WE had a great cruise and really really wanted to do it again.
