December 16, 2012 Disney Dream 3-night

Just introducing myself. Kati here, It was sort of a last minute plan but we are going to be on the boat with you all! Myself, DH, DD (turing 3 on board!!) DD (1) and my Mom.

So excited. We are actually cruising back2back on the one before this, but staying in the same rooms.

Welcome to the group. Can't wait to meet you all. :cheer2::cheer2:

Welcome to you all. It's not long now. When do you leave the UK? Can't wait to meet you. :goodvibes

14th from Gatwick - Baylake Towers for a couple of nights then on the Ship.

BTW ,Still havent told the kids about the holiday. We are going to show them a folder of what we are doing using pics (they are 5 and 9).

Going to put a note in the 1st day of their advent calender telling them where the folder is - hope they are excited;)

How exciting, I bet your children are thrilled to bits when they find out. We will be staying with our daughter and son in law at their home in Davenport for most of the holiday, but are just having one night at Bay Lake Tower, on the 12th, as we have a package booked for the Candlelight Processional at Epcot - our daughter is going to be in the Cast Member choir, :rolleyes1so it is one of her nights to perform.

Have you stayed at BLT before? it's a lovely resort, and so convenient for the Magic Kingdom. :thumbsup2

Well, it's less than a month now, :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:, not long to wait at all.

I know this is kind of an off topic kind of question for you but since you mentioned Gatwick... we are headed to Europe next Summer and are spending a couple of days in London before heading to Barcelona (for a 7 night Disney cruise! :cool1:). My question: is there much of a difference flying out of Gatwick compared to Heathrow? DH found a pretty reasonable flight to Barcelona on Vueling but we fly out of Gatwick instead. Your opinion? We are pretty seasoned travelers just not to Europe, yet.
Thank you:flower3:
Sue
BTW, good luck with your surprise. I know I couldn't keep something like this trip a secret from our son!:scared:

I am putting together a list of supplies so I can get going on my FE's. Is everyone on the list that is participating? I realize there still might be last minute drop in's but I really need to get going. The cruise will be here before we know it!!! :woohoo::woohoo::cool1::cool1::dance3:
Also, Nissa (smittledoggies) have you been told of your cabin# yet?
Making a list and checking it twice! :santa:
Later,
Sue

Sorry if I stepped on toes? :littleangel: I know you have been organizing this. And keeping this thread going! popcorn::
I'm not known for my patience especially when it comes to Disney trip planning. Are we there yet??? :p

No, of course not at all. I think everybody is making contributions - it's really nice.

Are we there yet??? Not too long now. :cool2: Less than a month till we fly out. :dance3:

My youngest daughter is visiting her sister and brother in law at the moment, they're at Vero Beach right now. Even though I'm coming next month, I'm still jealous!!

Thanks - its getting more difficult to keep it secret by the day;)

Where are you staying in London? Heathrow is the closest Airport to Central London and you can get there via the Underground Train system. Gatwick is probably a "nicer" airport but its far further away from central London (although there is very good train service from Victoria station)
Both are decent airports though :)

Thanks - we have never stayed at BLT but we had 2 nights to fill between arriving and the Cruise so we - like you - thought it would be great for MK. The Candlelight Processional sounds amazing - we are doing it xmas eve but it must be great to have a family member involved in it :thumbsup2

By my calculations the FE List is now closed? I'm sure you'd all like to join me in thanking Christine Dubea Curtis for all her hard work organising it. :worship::surfweb:

For now we have reservations at the Hyatt Regency-Churchill. Hopefully that is a good one. We pour and pour over our plans and hope that they are good. We bit the bullet on the airfare. I guess American Airlines was offering a good deal and so we are now flying out of Heathrow. Thank you for the help though and any input is more than welcome!
Thanks,
Sue

The trip is so close.....are we there YET???:dance3:

Good Morning Everyone!!!
We just booked our very first Disney Cruise (1st cruise ever for kids and husband). I am brand new to this site, Fish Extenders, etc. We are surprising our kids for 16th is a 1st birthday and 17th is a 4th bday.

Anyone links, chat groups, etc would GREATLY be appreciated. I am super excited!!
Rachel

My husband booked the cruise and I am just finding about the DISBoards. I read through the 8 pages and see there is a cut off for the FE. Is it too late for my family to join? We are first time Disney Cruisers, celebraying our son's 1st and 4th birthdays (cruising on their actual bdays), and lastly, I requested to join the FB Page for the FE this thread has created. Thanks!!

Thank you, Christine, for your hard work in organizing the FE! I cannot wait! I don't want to leave anyone out, so I want to make sure that I've got the total number of families participating correct. There are a total of 12 families, right? And, 15 children under the age of 18, right? I'm so stinkin' excited!!!

I have 12 families and 15 under the age of 18, too. If that helps make you feel better. It made me feel better. :scratchinI always have a few extra in case I DO mis-count!
Are we there yet?!?!?!?!:beach:

Those numbers look good to me! Sorry for the delay, we've got family in for thanksgiving! :)
