Oh, poor baby! I hope she is okay! These are the moments of motherhood that you just have to shake your head and then hug them a bunch. If we have anything resembling a family motto it's: "accidents happen!" (That, or "you get what you get and you don't throw a fit!", but that doesn't really apply here. ) Hang in there, Mama!

Is it cruise time yet? I need a drink and some relaxation,lol
I spent my evening in the ER. Carrie came flying in here earlier because I told her I would get her some M&M's and she tripped on her own feet and went down as hard on the legs of the computer chair. It actually knocked her out for about 10 seconds! SHe hit it soooo hard and has a knot right in between her eyes, one on her right eye which also burst some of the vessels and a knot above her left at her eyebrow.They say there is no serious damage, she may have a slight concussion and watch her for the next 12 hours. Omg what a night! Her little face looks like she hit a brick wall...

Lucinda, I am soooo sorry. I hope Carrie is feeling better . My ER pretty much knows my DS Ben (5) by name. It's amazing they haven't called social services on us yet . He is constantly falling and bumping his eye, head, lip, you name it. He's like a monkey. I guess I could tie him down?

LOL Mandy, Carrie is the queen of head trauma and ditto on the social services, thank goodness her pediatrician knows how she is, last time at her checkup she slammed her head straight into exam table corner. She always has a knot on her head.
She is ok and we made it through the night ok, she looks like heck though, the chair leg imprint is all the way across her brow and she has a black eye to boot!

Lucinda, I hope she recovers fast! Thank goodness kids are so resilient! I think we are right there with Mandy with the first name basis at the emergency room- I have actually had nurses hear that we are there and come to say hi! We get our money's worth from AFLAC every year, I tell ya!

Hi GG, I will turn 60 this month. We arrive on the 11th, spend 2 nts at the Nick.Hotel, plans are just to stay at the hotel on Fri & relax. Hope to meet up with some friends for lunch. Planning to go to Universal for a couple of days after the cruise. Charliebeth

Just a quick note to let everyone know that I have been very busy lately trying to tie up loose ends for the cruise. I am actually leaving in 1 hr to have heart surgery today.

My DH can't believe I am checking the boards before leaving, LOL. I will post when I return home. Charliebeth

Well, it's me again. My surgery ended up being cancelled today. The hospital/doctor had an emergency come in that took top priority. My surgery is not life threating, just search & repair. It has been a very nerve-racking, stressful day. I am still waiting to re-schedule. I guess this is what happens when you have a very much in demand doctor.

It can be anything. On our last cruise we had a couple from TN so they gave Elvis magnets, we brought Disneyland magnets, a few were home made, etc.

Hey all!

I am not getting notices in my email anymore so I thought I better post again...maybe I expired!

My DD got me on Facebook today... several college friends sent me invitations. Anyone here on? PM me and we can link.
My DD 11 also had a page if any other kids want to link to her. If nothing else, we should get some of them... especially the tween girls to email some so they can keep in touch and hang on the cruise.

Charliebeth--good luck with the medical stuff.
I had my hospital/surgery experience for the year last May. Man was that expensive! I was only in from 9am to 3pm and it was over $9000 when everyone sent their bills! Thank God for health insurance!

We are weeks away people!! Those big milestones we have to pass are right on the horizon... Halloween, the election, Thanksgiving. I am determined to get my Xmas shopping done in November... course for me that means a road trip to where there are actually stores!
I guess some people wouldn't mind Mickey stuff for gifts, but it would be too expensive to expect to do all my shopping at WDW!
