i hope you're not in the path of these fires?
i'm not, but my parents are in sylmar and were asked to evacuate this morning at 5:30AM, talk about a rude awakening ...they were able to stay put and have not been in danger since the winds have died down.
hopefully the weather cooperates tonight?

I work at the 118 and DeSoto. The fire was about a mile from my work when I left. The 118 was closed so I had to take the long way around. Luckily there aren't any fires near our home. The smoke is CRAZY though.

We live in the foothills and thankfully they burned a few years ago so we should be ok this year. It's scary when the flames are coming over the crest of the hill and you can see how big they really are (like 25 feet high!). The smoke in the air for weeks is a doozy on the lungs too.

Hopefully it will stay far enough away from you and your family!

Yes, just right click and save to your computer(somewhere you can remember) I use My documents...Hope that helps

a friend and i made the journey to DL this morning for a few hours of fun with our toddlers...boy was it HOT!! small crowds and lots of toon town and fantasyland.

Mandy and I went last Friday and it was a fiasco. It was crowded and I thought I lost my cell phone on Indiana Jones so we spent the majority of our time standing in lines to report it missing (sorry Mandy )

I'll forgive you.........eventually. It wasn't that bad. We got on two rides. I'm dragging my DH on Monday. He works 24 hr shifts and he has been gone 5 out of the last 6 days and the kids have playdates after school on Monday.
Since my children have been driving me crazy while he's been gone, I think the least he can do is take me DL. After all you know what they say " If momma ain't happy ain't nobody happy".

We will be out of town the 18th so my vote is for the 24th.
Feel free to use my wreath idea...I haven't decided if I am going to do it again or not but the more the merrier!


We are dressing up too! We felt a bit strange last year for about 10 minutes (wondering if we would be alone?) then it was a lot of fun!

The Merriest Cruise on Earth

Walmart has it here in Indy for about $9 for a package of 5. That is the best price that I have found.
