Anyone going on the Decemeber 13th, 3 night wonder. I booked this as a suprise for my family!!!

I was just booked too. Friends in Orlando work at a Disney Outlet and can take friends! I've never cruised before and am so excited. We won't know where our rooms are until we get there but whoooo cares? We're going!
I was looking for a thread for our cruise but this was the first one I've seen. This was the only 3 night for Dec that was posted on their site for Dec. My mother and I are visiting them all December.

I agree, who cares where your room is!!!!! I am excited and the kids don't know so it will be a huge suprise!!! Not a lot of people are responding, maybe the ship won't be fully booked!!!!

I can't wait !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Other threads have lots of responses. Looks like we are going with a lot of non-DISers. Maybe the rest know all about cruising. Maybe they don't want to be friendly. Maybe they just aren't excited about their cruise. I've never been on a cruise and cannot wait.

We have cruise before in 2005 my children then were 4, 2 and 8 months, so there was a lot I saw and a lot we missed. We were on the Magic.

I'm so happy more people are joining us. There isn't much more time left. It is so exciting!!!!!

We'll be there!!! It's our first Disney Cruise. I haven't been this excited about a Disney vacation in a long time!!

We are currently trying to surprise my parents with it as well. It will be their 35th wedding anniversary that week and I'm working with their jobs to get the time off for them so we can have it all arranged! I'm so excited to do this for them because I know they would never do it for themselves.

I see so many things that we want to do and I know there won't be enough time. I wouldn't be surprised if we booked a 7 day while we're on the ship!!

Welcome aboard druidia. I'm so excited too. Not long now. I don't know how you can keep it a secret! It'll be a special 35th for your parents. Are you going to WDW too?

Thanks! We really wanted to keep it a secret until the last possible moment...literally when we took the turn off of 95 to the Beeline!
But I know they would probably like to have some time to get prepared for a cruise rather than just another WDW trip like we usually take in December.

We are not planning a trip to WDW. We just went before Halloween and did MNSSHP and camped at Ft Wilderness. No more WDW trips planned for awhile.

Oh, and I have cruised on Carnival before (YUK!). I'm so excited to do DCL because I know the quality will be so much better, and we love Disney so much!

We are planning to do door magnets and I'm even designing a fish extender! I'm going to try and find some of our old pictures for their door, too.

OK, so we couldn't keep it a secret any longer form my parents. I was feeling bad about totally springing it on them, so we told them last night.

We made up a little card using scrapbooking stuff from Michael's that said "Happy 35th Anniversary! You're cruising with Mickey to the Bahamas!" We also bought them the Birnbaum 2008 cruise guide to help them prepare. My parents have never been on a cruise so it should be fun for them.

They are super-excited!

I think 30 days before is a perfect way to tell them!!! I am dying to tell my secret to the kids, but I am going to wait, because then they will not leave me alone!!!!

I think we're all super excited. This way they can read up on things and have an idea of what to expect. I'm sharing with my mother what I'm finding out so she can anticipate the magic too. She doesn't have a computer to enjoy like I do...doesn't understand how much fun reading and sharing on the DIS boards is for me.

Yes, we thought the book might take care of a lot of the questions they might have. I don't want to give away too much, so I haven't shown my mom the Disboards!!

I was surprised with a cruise to the Bahamas on Carnival for my bachelorette party and I was actually not thrilled. It was the weekend before our wedding and it was a little overwhelming. They literally didn't tell me where we were going until we arrived at the Miami port. I would have liked a little notice. It's not everyday that you leave the country, even if it is just the Bahamas. So I didn't want to do that to my parents.

Now my brother is wanting to join us. I didn't ask him previously because I knew that was finals week for him, but he said he thinks he is finished with his finals before that. I'm very seriously considering booking him in our stateroom to save some $$ and surprising my parents.

He goes to UCF, so he could just drive over to PC and meet us. I don't want them to know about it until we get there.

My mom will be head over heels if her little boy is there for their anniversary. You know Moms.

Now, that's a good secret to keep from your parents. Hope to see you all there. I'm not doing the fish extender because I don't know if I'll cruise again. My friends do not have a passport and do not want to get one. I think they would not have considered this one if passports were required. Hoping they'll love it so much, they'll think it's worth the extra money for the passports. Only a month away...

OK, brother is joining us, we're all super excited. Found out we were upgraded to Category 11 and got our room assignments. We're in 2 of the "sideways" staterooms on Deck 6.

We were hoping for a bigger upgrade, but we'll take it. I know we won't be in the room much on a 3 day cruise.


So not many people on this thread...I know Disney likes to sail with a full ship, but maybe we will get lucky and everyone will wait until the following weekend to sail!

congratulations on your upgrade!! I was wishing we would get one too, doesn't everyone? well almost I bet!

We are in two cat 10's so I am sure we will not be receiving one.
