we have surprised our kids with trips to DL and DW before - it is so much fun to see the looks on their face. One time we woke them up at 5 am with the "Wishes" music - they all came running out of their rooms. Have a great time telling them. Are you going to pre-pack for everyone and then tell them right before leaving the house or give them a days notice?

but I think this time I'm going to let them anticipate some. AND because there will be missed school...we have some things to do AHEAD of the cruise. Will most likely wait until after Thanksgiving to tell them though!

trying to finalize travel arrangements and give driving company a pick up / drop off time - when do they usually start letting people on the boat - we want to be their early to see everything, but aren't looking for an upgrade. For someone who has never been on the ship before about how much time will we want to look at the model, etc? if we are in a suite does that affect our boarding number?

How can you even follow the thread its got to be confusing.

I just noticed that the out of control August 16'11 Dream meet thread that I posted about earlier, that has now been active for just 11 days or so for a cruise that's 600 days away, is up over 1100 posts already, putting them just 100 posts behind this thread for a cruise that's just 21 days away! How crazy is that??

I was putting together my FE gifts today, and now I'm worried. A couple of the things for the "grown-ups" are alcohol related; I hope if a recipient is a non-drinker, they will forgive me!? I did the little chocolates with chocolate liqueur filling inside a little gift bag with some other little things. Is that going to get me in trouble at check in? How thoroughly do they search through the carry-ons, and what will they reject?

Having trouble with the 13 - 19 age group; any suggestions?

Finally, I actually found my kids's snorkel gear again today for 60% off banana at a different store. So, I will be returning the two sets I bought for them at full price ($25 per set). Before I do, is anyone having trouble finding snorkeling gear and would like to buy them from me on the boat? They would fit kids with shoe sizes appx. 10 toddler up to size 3. The fins have the adjustable strap back, and the mask and snorkel are pretty basic. They come in a mesh bag. If anyone wants me to hang on to them, let me know ASAP.

Never been interested in the specialty restaurants on the cruises, and not into Palo either,but the brunch I am...but of course its booked!

We're non-drinkers, and I totally won't be offended. My teenagers all are good with anything edible....maybe thats why I can't keep food in the house.

You should have no problem getting them on. If they let people bring bottles of wine, they should allow this.

My edible (personal & kid FE stuff) stuff I'm worried about not melting or getting soft, so I think I'll carry my on.

The back of the boat was yesterdays picture... and is that the shops? I agree, it looks dangerous.

I finished my Christmas decorating, thanks to a visit from my awesome brother. I usually don't finish that until my birthday.

I really should get out the suit cases. Where do you keep them so they are convenient to throw things in, but not in the way. I don't want to trip over them for the next 20 days.

And I think we'll hit 100 pages sooner or later

I have most of the clothes and shoes packed. The suitcases are in our bedroom. I'm getting pretty tired of them but can't think of anywhere better to put them. After Thanksgiving and a birthday party next week I might just put them on the main level.

You are correct. I have suitcases on the floor in my bedroom but is a good size room. After Thanksgiving I will move them to the dining room and we will eat at the kitchen island. I also have one of those long utility tables I can put them on. I hate bending over to the floor to get in and out of suitcases its hard on the back.

I saw yesterday's picture and just assumed everyone knew where it was, so I didn't even say anything!

The cool thing about today's picture, I think, is that it's taken from the other angle from what you usually see. Normally, I've seen shots of that hallway taken from the elevators looking toward the theatre, but it looks like your picture is taken the other way, from the area outside of the theatre looking toward the elevators.
