I am cruising on this date. Any other Disboards friends out there on this cruise?
Hi,
My family and I will be on this cruise as well. This will be the first Disney cruise for all of us (my husband and our daughter as well as my mom and dad!) Friday of the cruise will be my daughter's 7th birthday -- I think we are all just as excited as she is about going on the cruise!
Has anyone ever sailed in December before? What is the weather like? How rough are the seas?
Thanks!
Is anyone interested in participating in a Fish Extender Exchange. I will have mine. We loved doing this on our last cruise. Hopefully we will find some other December cruisers.
Okay, so I have never been on a Disney cruise and had no idea what a "Fish Extender Exchange" was. At first I thought we were all supposed to bring a bag of tropical fish to give to one another!Somehow I didn't think that was right!
I have since done some research and think that being a part of a Fish Extender Exchange would be a fantastic idea. What fun! How do I sign up?
And I have a feeling that my mom would get a kick out of it as well! She is really the driving force behind all of us going on the cruise in the first place and is now so excited about everything Disney Cruise related.
Thanks!
Still just a few of us, I guess....
Hi Disneyfan,
I think doing a fish extender would be fun, this is our first cruise. I am new to posting so don't know what you mean when you say to pm you, hope I am not going it look like an idiot for not knowing. Also wondering do you put gifts in for each person in the room and kind of gear it to their age for the kids, this ould be as much fun as Christmas.
Anyone who is interested can PM me and I will set up a list of cabins and participants. Please include the names and ages of the children and the number of adults in each room. This is a lot of fun. I look forward to meeting everyone on Dec 11.![]()
All this talk about hurricanes messing up the cruises. Seems like we might get a few interruptions ourselves this weekend. At least we aren't in Houston. Try to stay dry, not very ofen we can get a tropical watch up here.
We are just fine here. My fiend who lives between Galveston and Houston didn't fare so well. They lost their fence and some roof damage. Her business did a little better. No electric or phones yet. she sent an email from a friends house in League City who had electric. I pray all those people are able to get on with their lives. We were there not too long ago hard to believe alot of it is gone now.I hope you are doing well and staying dry! Living in Florida I know feeling of impending doom when you see the images on the weather channel of a hurricane swirling in your direction. In the 10 years I have lived here we have been lucky, considering Florida just sort of dangles out in the midst of all that warm tropical water! Although 2004 was a bit wild, we still lucked out.
Let us know that you are alright when you get a chance.
