December 10, 2009 3 Night Bahamian Cruise

Alright, I have hauled my suitcases up from the basement, now what should I put in them. Anyone know if it is still short weather in flordia/bahamas?

I'm in North Florida and it really depends on the day/week. I know that's not much help. Port Canaveral is further south, so it will be warmer there than here. I'm planning to wait until about 10 days out to see what the weather is supposed to be like.

DMMarla07860 - Yes, so close! Probably a quick trip up the steps. We'll try to be quiet on our way back down from party central on Deck 3 at night. If you hear thump, thump, thump followed by some laughing - don't worry I'm all good.

Do they still have 70's and 80's night or have they changed any of the theming? I thought about tucking in a funky wig and glasses for fun.

Well I'll be in wavebands till it closes, so you won't bother me.

They didn't have 70's and 80's night in August on my 3 day cruise. Theme Nights that cruise were

Rock & Country & Rock Star themes - good to know. We can still do some funky wigs for Rock Star night. I wouldn't know what do for Rock/Country night...Dolly wig and extra socks to complete the look? But we love karaoke night!

Oh, goody! I won't have to pack my hat to go with my get up. That'll save a little extra space in the suitcase.

LD Nurse - I used a TA and our docs came in last week. Have you sent off an email to ask when they sent it? My TA sends them by UPS or Fed Ex so they can track it.

I used a TA and my docs came last week too....and they were direct from DCL not my TA. I'd call and find out what's up.

Still no cruise docs for me. If they aren't here tonight when I get home from work, I'm going to contact AAA to see where my stuff is.

Time is flying by and it's EXCITING!!!

I emailed my AAA TA today and she said she got the docs on Friday and is waiting for the parking passes from the West Hartford branch and then she'd let me know and I could PICK THEM UP!! Seriously? She isn't going to mail them? After the other issue with the reduced OBC from them and now this, it will DEFINITELY be my last travel plans with a AAA TA. So annoyed!

As for packing - I think it may be warm enough for shorts, but I'd pack some pants and layers for night time...

Not as much as the hassle has been worth!

BUT...I got all my FE gifts all assembed today before the kids got home, that was BIG accomplishment. Now I just need to find a box to ship it all down as it is pretty heavy!!!

Oh, I got a stocking that I'm planning to decorate for my FE. I hope the opening will be wide enough.

You should be fine with a stocking. The opening of FE pockets aren't very wide. Actually, a stocking is probably wider. That's what my parents are using. I decorated it for them.

Thanks. I will be going pretty simple (since I'm leaving in TWO WEEKS!) maybe some glitter/glue in the shape of a Mickey head. I have to add to my packing list to bring a wire tie.

What do people do if your gifts are too big for the FE? I also have a stocking and it's regular size, so unless someone is leaving a HUGE gift, I think it will fit. My bags will definitely fit into a stocking.

I gave something last time that I knew would be too big, so I put them in bags with a ribbon attached and just hung the bag from the fish.

As for shoes, I always wear flip flops during the day, but that is what is most comfortable to me. Wear what is most comfortable to you. I will take one or two pairs of dress shoes for evening.

I usually wore sandals around during the day, to the beach, even shopping in Nassau. If I were doing a lot of walking, I would wear sneakers. I took one pair of black sandals for dinner along with black pants.
