December 10, 2009 3 Night Bahamian Cruise

I have two FE gifts left to make and I'm done!!!! I decorated my Mom's Christmas stocking yesterday for her to use as her FE and I must say, it is beautiful even if I did do it myself. :goodvibes Door magnets for my Mom and me are done. I am surprising her with those. She knows she will have door magnets, but she doesn't know WHAT. :lmao:

I'm pretty sure there is no place on deck 8 to stand, but I know you can see it from Beach Blanket Buffet on deck 9

Hm....good to know! May be directing people to the wrong deck!

I hope you don't mind, but I may be sneakin a peak as well. My husband and I just celebrated a 10 year anniversary and I am more in love with him to today than I was when I married him. I can't imagine anything more magical than a vow renewal at sea.

Peak away!! I can't wait!!

Time is getting close - we leave in 26 days and I'm feeling a little overwhelmed at what's going on before then. The weekend will be the last weekend I am home before we leave. I work in Boston most weeks and we decided to spend Thanksgiving weekend in NYC at my daughter's apartment. Then I just found out I need to be at a training class in DC on Dec 4. We leave on the 5th. Yikes. I need to start making some lists and delegate. I's a good thing I brought my FE project with me to Boston. Glad I finished the tie dye last weekend. My granddaughters wanted hearts instead of Mickey heads this time. They came out pretty good but we are still going to add an iron-on decal of Minnie. Need to get that done this weekend. Too much to do, too little time but what gets doen, gets done.

WOW - you have a crazy schedule, and being in DC the day before you leave! YIKES! That is the day we leave as well (5th). I love the tie dye shirts....great job!

Nice job on the tie dye shirts...they came out wicked!!

My tie dyes are actually dresses for my 6yr old granddaughters. They're both pretty little.

I actually live in Rochester, NY but work in Boston - a 400 mile commute makes for a very tiring life. Glad vacation is soon to come :)

When I read this, I thought - must be from Mass...and yep, you are!

Wicked funny. :lmao:

the "wicked" gave me away huh :rotfl:

I knew they were dresses, but I typed shirts...you did a wonderful job! I have to say that is a tough commute....so a deserving vacation awaits you!! Where in Boston do you work?

My 5 1/2 year old son is very very excited about Christmas. We took down the Christmas tree and decorations this past Saturday and the tree is up, but not decorated yet I think on Wednesday it will be done. He doesn't have school in honor of Veterans day and he is jumping out of his skin to get this tree decorated. Of course our tree is not real. We are putting it up early because we're leaving in 25 days so I won't have to do it when we come home on Dec. 14. Anyone else putting their Christmas tree up early? Plus my shopping is almost done too!! WOOHOOO:woohoo:

We're putting our tree up early - we usually have it up by Thanksgiving anyway (also artificial!). I just told my DH tonight that he's going to have to get it set up in the next two weeks so I can decorate. He's working 7 days a week after Veteran's Day right up until we leave on 12/3. He's already hung the outside lights up on the house and tree.

Does anyone know when we get the cruise docs? I remember last time they came by UPS (I almost didn't know until my SIL said she got hers - ours were sitting in the door!) I'm doing it all on line anyway, but don't want them sitting in the door again!

One month from tomorrow we'll be cruising!!! YAY!

We usually put our tree up the first weekend in December, but since we'll be in WDW at that time, we are putting it up Thanksgiving weekend. We get a live tree (always, never an artificial for me!) and will decorate that weekend. There is no way I will do it when we get back, cuz you know it won't happen until the weekend AFTER we get back which is too close to Christmas!

A 400 mile commute! YIKES! You desever a VERY long and relaxing vacation after doing that!

Well, off to get the kids ready for the bus. I picked up some clear contact paper to "laminate" the door magnets if I ever get onto the graphics thread to request them. I feel like time is slipping by!

DD and DS's birthday is December 29 and instead of waiting til January, they asked to have their parties this month, so I have that added to my planning and stress. DD's is the 20th and DS's is the 25th. I'll be ready for a vacation after those!

:rotfl2:

around here we don't really need to worry about putting up christmas stuff. My dad usually puts lights and other stuff up outside on Thanksgiving and then the tree one night after work and my mom pretty much does the rest of the things around here:thumbsup2:cool1::goodvibes

The weather here was wonderful this past weekend so the christmas lights went up. We have vowed not to turn them on until Thanksgiving. We will be putting up the inside decorations on black Friday, instead of shopping.

I know they say the older you get the faster time flies, but I don't have any clue where this year has gone. I remember thinking I had plenty of time to get things finished up for vacation and now here I sit with a laundry list of things to do.

Mine arrived yesterday too!

Huge accomplishment yesterday....finished my FE gifts, got them into bags by cabin # AND packed them into the suitcase!

BOO! I don't have documents for WDW OR DCL yet! My TA had better get a move on it!!!

No docs here!! We only have 22 days until we leave for the World!! very excited need to pack soon! :) Laurie
