I'm so excited, we got our cruise docs today

I just asked DH to check the front door - we don't use it much - and guess what was there??

CRUISE DOCS!! OH YEAH!

I'm leaving my house THREE weeks from TODAY!

No docs for me either, they have to get from my TA (AAA) to me first.

I am planning on packaging up my FE gifts today (if I can do it before the kids get home). Then I have to decide if I can pack them or if I am going to ship them to the hotel. If I do ship them, I may throw in our snorkel masks as well so I don't have to pack those, too. We shall see. Time is flying by (3 weeks from tomorrow we will be on a plane!), and I need to get my lists done and get cracking!

we got our docs yesterday and they came straight from DCL...not my TA! I too had to check the front door! i wonder how long they were there??

Well, we got the FE gifts packaged up last night. I think I'm going to have a bag full of that stuff, my FE, my door magnets, my "pirate" beads and glo bracelets...might be it's own carry on bag! We're trying to pack light so we only have 2 suitcases for the cruise for the 4 of us. Might have to be big ones!!
This afternoon I got a call from Disney Cruise lines informing me what I already knew - the complimentary upgrade from cat 11 to cat 8!!! It was kinda cool to get the call anyway! At first I didn't answer because the caller ID said Out of Area. Then it rang again right away, so I thought I'll just deal with them! But it turns out they were both DCL, since my MIL is registered under our address and phone, so they called twice! She did leave a message the first time anyway. That was a fun little call.

We got our cruise docs today!! so very excited 3 weeks from today we leave for the World!! Anyhow, did you all see the new Oasis of the Seas ship?? I know it's not Disney.....but it is the worlds largest cruise ship Well on Friday December 11th we will get to see the Oasis in the Bahamas so for all of us that aren't getting off the ship that day...we might want to.....to take pictures!! Can't wait to see this ship!!

Still no documents. Boo. I'm working on the Christmas tree and lights early too. Time is running out...

Our docs arrived today - yea. I should think about getting our decorations up this weekend too. Christmas always sneaks up on us and we've never vacationed this close to Christmas so this year it will leap on us. It will all be worth it. We can hardly wait.

I am hoping we'll have our docs today from AAA, or Monday at the latest. I have already done the paperwork online, I just like to get "stuff" in the mail for the cruise!

Today I am painting DS's room. Was planning on it last weekend since they didn't have school on Monday for Veteran's Day, but I wasn't feeling well and wasn't up to it. I cleared out his room pretty much yesterday and once I get them home from haircuts this morning, it's painting time!

No Christmas decorations yet for us, that will be Thanksgiving weekend. Next Friday is DD's birthday party for friends, then roller skating on Saturday with her Brownie troop (I am also going and will be skating, let's hope I don't break anything!). Wednesday before Turkey Day is DS's birthday party for friends, then Thanksgiving. Then it's just a week til we leave for WDW.

I really cannot believe it is 3 weeks from today, not when I started counting down in June 2008....

I didn't get the FE gifts put together yet, that will have to be this week between working at home on Wednesday and Friday and baking and cleaning for the party on Friday afternoon. SHEESH! Where is the time going!

that's great to know. Two of my SILs are going on that ship in January. One of them will be with us on the DCL cruise, so she'll be thrilled to know!

I have a HUGE sense of accomplishment today...I painted DS's room yesterday (did 2 coats) and today we just moved everything back in. Well, almost everything. I still want to weed through the "stuff' that was on his dresser to see if I can toss anything from there. New comforter is on the bed and DH is hanging the new hardware for the curtains now. It looks great!

And, the best part? DS will be heading to a friend's house around 12:30 when I take DD to a birthday party, so it's plausible that I could assemble my FE gifts while they are out!!!

Speaking of that - is there a link on the boards on shipping to a resort? I looked quickly on the resort thread, but didn't see a stick with FAQ like there is for the cruise. I think that may be my best bet, to ship the box of stuff to the resort (perhaps with an emplty duffle bag for an extra carryon for the way home - LOL).

Less than 3 weeks now....and since I didn't get the mail yesterday, I am hoping my cruise packet is in my mailbox.

Anyone going to Atlantis? That's our plan so far.

Well, my cruise documents showed up....at my MIL's house. All this talk about documents made me wonder where mine was. LOL!

I don't mind talking about other cruiselines. We can't always cruise Disney. Now, how about that Oasis OTS? I'm dying to try the Freedom and Oasis, but we are working on the Radiance class to see how we feel about the line in general. I do worry that the Freedom/Oasis will feel too big. We like smaller ships, but I just wanna try the flowrider...and zipline....and whatever kind of other trouble I can find on those beasts. Who woulda thunk it? Zip line on a cruise ship. They did scrap that whole hot air balloon think after the experiment had it lost at sea, right?

DMMarla07860 - Yes, so close! Probably a quick trip up the steps. We'll try to be quiet on our way back down from party central on Deck 3 at night. If you hear thump, thump, thump followed by some laughing - don't worry I'm all good.

Do they still have 70's and 80's night or have they changed any of the theming? I thought about tucking in a funky wig and glasses for fun.

VAgal - you've got me curious - where in the middle of nowhere VA are you? My in-laws and rellies are in southern VA - Williamsburg, Gloucester (which to me is the middle of nowhere).
