Yeah we always stay of deck 7 either 7500 or 7000 or just in the general area. People traffic is qute usually just the staff and sometimes you'll see the captain. Enjoy your upgrade!!

Did you ever have any issues with motion of the ship? I usually take dramamine anyway, but was a bit concerned about the up and down being in the front. Other than that, I'm SO PSYCHED!!
Worked on my FE gifts this weekend too. My DDs helped.
I will be leaving my home in one month and 32 hours. Not that I'm keeping track or anything!

I discovered yesterday that my flight home after the cruise was moved to 1/2 hour later. Fine with me since I was worried it would be too early, but jeez, good thing I went nosing around. When would I have heard?? When I was running to the gate dragging two tired little girls with our hair on fire?
Plus, Sun Country charges $8 per ticket to choose your seats more than 24 hours in advance. Okay, I'm not paying, but I need to be seated next to my kids. Grrrr. So far there's plenty of room in the back of the plane. I'm going to keep checking.

Thanks for reminding me, I must put Dramamine on my packing list. The last time we cruised was a seven day on the Disney Magic and I was so sick the 1st 2 days. I'm going to blame it on Hurricane Florence though. Before this experience, I have never been sick. I think that you will be fine, but keep the Dramamine on hand, it cost a fortune on board.

No issues with motion, but then again I love being on a cruise ship out on the water so we've never experienced up and down motion being at the front of the ship. Also, we've always cruised in February and the seas have been very good. I don't know how December seas will be?? I would still bring the dramamine and at least take it the first day, but I think you'll be fine up front!!

Actually, you should get Bonine. It won't make you nearly as sleepy as Dramamine does.

I always take Bonine just to be on the safe side. We cruised in December a couple of years ago and the seas were terrible. I vowed then to always take it whether I need it or not!

I have a pkg of Dramamine from the last time - and it worked well. I really don't recall being all that drowsy. Our first cruise ever was in Jan. 2008 on Carnival and it was SOOOO rough the first night - everyone was stumbling! I felt nauseous that night, but the dramamine worked well. I just kept taking it. Once we got into the Caribbean (from Miami) the seas were calmer.
Our last night on the Wonder in Feb was rough while we slept - our hangers kept sliding and banging.
I think some nice gentle motion feels good and rocks me to sleep, so I'm good with that.
The dramamine will remain on the packing list however! I always pack a bunch of meds (esp. kids Motrin) just in case, so I don't have to go find it and spend a fortune at WDW or on the ship.

Made some door magnets tonight. Last trip I used Mickey head paint chips, wrote our names on them, laminated and stuck a magnet on the back. Helped to identify our room. We had some other bigger ones too.
So this time I made them for the rest of our group. Of course, now that we're at the end of a hall, it will be easy to find our room!

Glad to have accomplished something! Now my FE gift has to get done. One more trip for supplies and that will do it!

AACCK! Don't tell me that! None of us have cruised before, and along with worrying that someone will get the flu so we CANNOT go on our vacation, sea sickness is my other fear!

I am hoping to finally work on the last piece of my FE this week and then I can assemble and figure out if I can pack them or ship them to the hotel to bring on board myself.

OH...I was at Macy's yesterday and they have CUTE Captain Mickey plush toys (pretty big) for $14.95 and they come with an alarm clock, too! I picked up 2 for my kids and will have Mickey send them to our house before the trip saying, can't wait to see you on my ship!!!

Don't worry about seasickness....i worked on a cruise ship for 2 years and went thru a few hurricanes....never felt a thing! These ships are HUGE and have big stabilizers that jet out from the sides to keep the ship steady and stable...you won't feel a thing!

Well, I actually got a lot accomplished today (except for real-work stuff).

Changed over my summer clothes to fall (finally) and packed stuff for Disney right inot the suitcase instead of packing it away and then finding it again in a few weeks.

Took all the framed art of DS's walls so I can paint this weekend

Made the thing I need for my FE gifts and just have one piece left to do

Printed and addressed DD's and DS's birthday invitations - their birthday is at the end of December, but they wanted their parties this month instead of waiting for January. Since we lose 2 weekends for DISNEY, December won't work.

Now I need to work on my door magnets and make my packing list...ONE MONTH til I leave for the Poly!!!

Yankees won last night and I have been happy since they have won. Been watching the news about them all morning

wish I could go the the ticker-tape parade tomorrow which would be a once in a life time thing for me, but I know I can't either way happy happy happy.

well the video camera I use now doesn't use a tape, but I can bring my old camera that uses tapes to do it. And I have tapes from that I have never used, so I can tape it with them and give it to you. They are sony, Hi8 tapes

I am back in the planning swing for the trip! I finished the last piece for my FE gifts yesterday and just have to assemble (Need to do that when the kids aren't home).

Today, I peeled all the Mickey Heads from the backers from Home Depot and glued on magnets, put names on the magnets (doing some for our friend's door as well) and then decorated my stocking (aka my FE).

I just have to get my act in gear for asking tfor some special designs for magnets on the boards, and then printing and putting magnets on them, too.

But, I feel like I've moved past the fact that I'm freaking out that it's so close and getting excited again!

I hope you don't mind, but I may be sneakin a peak as well. My husband and I just celebrated a 10 year anniversary and I am more in love with him to today than I was when I married him. I can't imagine anything more magical than a vow renewal at sea.
