December 10, 2009 3 Night Bahamian Cruise

I was just coming to post about this cruise!! We just booked yesterday. We are doing our 10th Anniversary Vow Renewal on this cruise!! WOO HOOO!

We've cruised before, but this will be our first Disney Cruise. I'm excited. :cool1:

Jennifer

I see you're planning on staying at the Poly before the cruise. Are you doing the land/sea package? We are planning on staying at VWL if we can get in.

Yes, we are doing the land/sea package, with an extra night at the poly on the 5th...that is if Disney will let us get the tickets on that day AND add the dining plan. Apparently, the 2008 rules wouldn't let us do that, but I'm hoping the rules change for 2009....

Congrats on the vow renewal, how exciting!

We are going with our twins (they will be turning 8 right after the trip) and another family with their 8 yo as well. I'm already counting down and it's SOO far away!

I'm definitely a WDW vet, but this is our first cruise of any kind.

We didn't book the land and sea package specifically for that reason, we wanted to in on the 5th, and add teh DDP also. it just seemed too difficult and too expensive with DCL. So we're doing it all seperatly.

Our kids will be 6 and 3 at the time. It'll be their 1st cruise.

Only 18 more months!!:lmao:

I wanted to price it separately, but was told the land rates for 2009 weren't out yet, so we just went with the package. If I can't add on the DDP to the extra night, we will pull that out and book that one day separately and do Sea World that day.

It will all depend on what we can find out for the "new' rules....

I'm addicted to this board and now I'll be on here all the time until we leave in a year and a half!!!:surfweb:

It's addicting!! I'm on here all the time it seems!!:lmao: :lmao: Atleast that's what dh says!

I just read your planning journal, LOVE the dress!!!

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: 18 months from Today we sail!!!

:lmao: Oh man we're going to drive ourselves nuts in the next year and a half!!

We're doing the land and sea this week too!! Also staying at the Poly. I've been to WDW 3 times but never on a cruise. We've always stayed at ASMo. Looking forward to the Poly and the monorail. I think my parents and my sister and her family are going to go this time.:duck: We've book a secret verandah room. So excited! I've been trolling around here forever, I thought I'd finally say hello!! I'm addicted to DIS. My dh says I'm ruining our vacation with all the planning I do. I LIKE to be prepared!!

Welcome Aboard!! Being Prepared is awesome, we're preparaing for the next 18 months!!:rotfl2:

I've never stayed at the Poly and have always wanted to. So....when we decided to book this trip, I priced it with the moderate and with the Poly and the diffference was nominal, so DH said GO FOR IT!! We usually rent a car for WDW but not with the cruise, so I definitely wanted to be on the monorail (I'm not a fan of the busses).

We are going with another family, so there will be 4 adults and 3 kids age 8 (well, my 2 will be 8 right after our trip).

I've been reading all the posts, and after brain overload, now I check every few days. I know i'll be back on it 24/7 when it gets closer. :surfweb:

We have 5 cabins booked so far!! including dh and I, there will be 18 of us there!! :thumbsup2

I think we may end up staying at AKL instead of WL. We may have 5 in our group then, so AKL will fit us better.

I have so flip-flopped between these 2 resorts. I thought that at the Poly we could maximize our time in the parks, but AKL and the SV would be cool too. How many more months do we have? I'll change my mind that many times at least. Who cares? We are doind to WDW!!!!!:woohoo:

The savannah view does intrique me as well, but I love Hawaii and the Poly has always been a dream of mine. Plus, being on the monorail when we are only there for a few days will make getting to/from the parks so much easier.

we typically rent a car for our WDW trips, but not doing that this time with the cruise. So, I wanted easy transportation.

We are actually going out on Saturday (one day early) for more park time.

I have been reading the passporter DCL book and it's great.....I also got the WDW book (haven't read that much since I've been there a lot), but love the style with the spiral and pocket. Wish the DCL book was that way as well, but I just got the paperback. It was paperback or deluxe. Can't justify that amount for a book! :rolleyes1

I have the passporter book for WDW too! Got it for our trip in April. I agree it's a great tool!!

I have the 2005 passporter DCL book at the libreary. If i think it's good, than i'll buy the 2008 version. Or maybe wait until 2009 comes out?? Any idea when that will be ???

According to the passporter site, they will open the pre-orders for the 2009 DCL book in the fall. Since I doubt much will change, I got the 2008 version with the discount from that board, and I ordered when they had free shippng as well.

Plus, I just couldn't wait that long!:rotfl2:
