Anyone on this cruise adults only/or sans kiddos? We are 27, 28, 34, and 37, and I promise, we all play well with others. :teeth:

Does it count if we are really envious of the adults only groups?
When we married 10 yrs ago this was supposed to be a trip to Fiji to celebrate...just the two of us. Somehow it morphed into a trip to WDW & cruise with the whole litter... Enjoy the quiet pool. I'll be at Goofy daydreaming....

Andrea,
I forgot to tell you I broke down and bought the dress from Disney. BUT I didn't buy the kid and dh matching stuff (yet, lol). I wanted to make sure I liked the dress first.

I promise not to wear it boarding day, though!!!!

Kristen

It's cute, not really my style, but I thought it would make a nice family picture. We can wash & wear then hand them over to you! :rotfl:
DH will NEVER wear it again after the 4 hours that first night, maybe I could get my money's worth!

I like the idea of lime green bracelets too! My ds has one I was just noticing the other day thinking hmmm....but we need to find like what, 50 of them?

Andrea,
My dh said he would only wear it on the curise and never again - same for the Mickey t-shirt I bought him. Does he not think we will have pictures that will last forever? :rotfl2:

Hello and happy Tuesday - only 70 more working days until our trip to WDW/DCL!
My DH & I will be at AKL for a week before the cruise departs on the 10th. I am excited that SO many of us will be on the cruise! I met another DIS friend on the Wonder in 2004 and she has become one of my best buddies.
DH & I will be taking the bus from AKL to the port on the 10th. We have planned to eat at Palo on CC evening. Please don't skip Palo. The bread course alone is worth the whopping $10 cover charge. Go, if only to have a martini and dessert - you will love it! The service is amazing and the food really is good.
Are you all doing door signs? Let's play tag! I hear others have used the green MM heads from Home Depot and they traveled all over the ship before the end of the cruise!
:Pinkbounc Anyone else ready to start pre-packing yet?

I am ready to pack, period!!!! :cool1: :cool1:

I think the tag idea is cool...we already cleaned out home depot :rotfl:

We definately want to do palo, but were thinking the brunch because we do not want to miss out on any of the rest. since this is our first time on a disney cruise.

Only important papers so far, but bought some clothes for the kids for the trip.

I have read on these boards that you can make a Palo reservation for the # of people (not adults only) in your stateroom.

By the way, we confirmed our reservation today - we are officially ON this cruise! Can't wait!!

I'm confused, when exactly I make our Palo booking? This is our first cruise. Also, since you don't know your dining rotation until you board, how do you know what night to book at Palo. Since this is our first cruise, we don't want to miss any of the restaurants.

Sillyandi, what part of California are you from? My brother lives in San Francisco. :)

BabyBird, how do you play TAG on DCL? I am not sure how that works. I mean, I know you usually TAG the person with something from around your hometown, but I'm not sure of the rules/logistics. Be warned, we live near Hershey, PA so I hope you all like chocolate!

iankh, I believe on the 4 night cruise, the second and third nights are the same restaurants. I think we are booking Palo for the 3rd night. :)

When we were on the 3-day cruise we booked our Palo reservations on Nassau night and changed our dining rotation AFTER we boarded the ship. It was not a big issue, not at all. After our experience on the first cruise, we will just go with whatever we are assigned this time. I missed 90% of AP the first night because the seas were really rough and I was ill prepared for the sensation. We missed PC the next night because we went to Palo. The only restaurant in which I had full dinner service was Triton's - it was nice enough but we had lunch there the day before and it was just as good.

Don't concentrate on what you might miss and enjoy what you are able to experience. My DH and I played hours of batgammon in Diversions on our cruise. It was quiet and a nice time for us to be alone and do something we never take time to do at home. Try not to miss the forest for the trees. Relax and enjoy - do make sure you are informed about what is available but you will never be able to do everything - there is just too much!

I don't know how to play tag but I think that Alex&Nessa's idea is a great one! If we all have our own 'tag' from our state/town etc it would be very, very cool! Are you all game? I can taste the chocolate now!
I really need to get off my duff and start working on our door design as well. It made it super easy to find our cabin last time. Off to Walmart to get magnetic paper!!!! Happy Wednesday everyone! :yay:

I'm from San Dimas (yes, as in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure-San Dimas). It's about 25 miles east of downtown LA-3 towns away from the Pasadena Rose Parade (more or less).

We were just in Hershey at the end of July. ALL of my family is from s/w Penn and we were back there for family reunions & a wedding so we drove the 4 hours just to go to Chocolate world! Not as cool as when I was a kid, but my kids thought it was fantastic!

This Is A Question For Those Of You Who Have Children That Have Been On A Cruise Before. We Would Like To Go To Palo, But I Am Worried About Them. Do You Really Think They Have So Much Cool Stuff To Do That They Will Not Want To Be With Us? We Are The Type Of Family That We Do Everything Together. If It Doesnt Work Out, It Is Only 20 Dollars? Is That Correct, And When Is The Best Time To Go? Brunch On The At Sea Day? Also, What Are Good Choices Are Good For Castaway Cay? They Wanted To Do The Dolphin Encounter Or Stingrays. Please Help..i Want Everything To Be Perfect For My Family!!!

So, when can we book Palo online. It's at 90 days out (for us first timers) right? And, does it really start at 3 AM EST or something like that?

I believe first timers are at 75 days out. 90 days for Castaway Clubers. At 75 days that would put you on 9/26 @ 3 AM EST. Yes, that is 3 AM Eastern. Not sure why, but I have read this and am shocked. I know I'll be setting my alarm, making my ressies for Palo and the Spa and then crawling back into bed...but I have a feeling, just like the commercial I will be too excited to sleep!

Most Disney computer stuff is actually done on the west coast. 3 am EST is actually midnight PST which is when west coast tech companies do their nightly upgrades, etc. I have a friend who works in Disney tech and that was her thought. Either way it's ok by me. I'm working graveyards right now so I'll be awake anyway! (Wish I was going back to sleep though!)

Now that makes sense! But 3 AM? Oye, I hope I get the reservations right!

The game of tag sounds like fun! Will someone lay out exactly how this is played? I think I can imagine it, but I'm sure someone here knows!

Also, anyone have any additional thoughts on the on-board meet, especially for those not staying near the port and participate in the pre-cruise dinner meet?
