Hi All! We're probably going to book this cruise. We're booked on the 12/9 - 16 Magic right now, but we want to switch to a shorter cruise so we can spend a couple of days at the parks and do the CP and MVMCP. (This will also save us a lot of $$ ;) ).

We've done the 4-night cruise before and really loved it! We'd like to stay at WDW for 3 nights after the cruise and then head home on the 17th.

December 10th is my birthday, so this trip will be a great present!

Welcome Kathy!
This is a great group of Dis'ers, :teeth: I hope you can join us!
We will be celebrating 2 birthdays and our 10 yr anniversary on this trip, Dec is a busy month for us!

Welcome Kathy!!!!
We Are Also Celebrating My Husbands 41st Birthday And Our 20 Year Wedding Anniversary. We Are So Excited. I Am Also Wandering About The Young Men On The Trip...........has Anyone Heard Of Boys 9 Or 10 Years Old? I Hope He Doesn't End Up With The Princesses All Day!!!!!! It Sounds As Though We Have A Great Group Going. We Will Have To Find A Way Of Identifying Ourselves.

First off, hi Kathy, now we already have, somewhere in here we are going to do wristbands, also some of us whom are staying in the cape are meeting for dinner the night before, and then we will meet somewhere on the ship also.

Hi everyone. Thanks for the warm welcome! We did book this cruise, but DH and I are still discussing what we will do - a 7-night cruise, or a 4-night cruise and 3 nights in the parks. I think we'll probably stay with this cruise, though, since we really love the parks at Christmas, and mid-December is a kind of quiet time.

In addition to the bracelets, maybe everyone could wear lime green shirts? We bought the Disney logo shirts from Disneyshopping.com. The lime green Disney logo tees are only $5.99 right now - http://disneyshopping.go.com/DSSectionPage.process?Merchant_Id=2&Section_Id=13842&Product_Id=194663

Or any lime green shirt will do! Then we could find each other more easily the first day.

I must admit that this idea came from the 12/9 Magic group. :goodvibes

Not a good color for me :goodvibes

HAve we narrowed down a list of places for our 12/9 dinner meet yet. I can't remember who is scouting out the locations just wondering how it is going.

We're in, Flight get's in about 5:00 PM, I want to make sure the kids get a little pool time in there.

ok someone just gave me a link to Palo menu, i think we will skip it.

Now I wish we were staying near the port.

But I have our reservations near MCO, booked via Hotwire, so it's all paid for.

By the way, I have an extra room if anyone needs one. There were going to be three of us, but our friend cancelled. I still have two rooms, paid for to boot!

Great idea, but our family is wearing other dorky matching outfits so that we'll match in our boarding photo. (I've already got DH to agree to it, which was a hugh feat in itself!)
I guess I could change into the green shirt after, but DH might still freak out about him matching and me not?! I think I likethe idea of bracelets or a button or something...

Andrea,
I forgot to tell you I broke down and bought the dress from Disney. BUT I didn't buy the kid and dh matching stuff (yet, lol). I wanted to make sure I liked the dress first.

I promise not to wear it boarding day, though!!!!

Welcome Kathy! I think you made the right choice, WDW at Christmas time is fantastic. We're spending three days in the world before the cruise.

We're celebrating on the trip too...actually the trip is a surprise celebration for my niece's Sweet 16!

I too like the idea of the bracelets...Maybe we can find the rubber type in lime green?

i guess we all will be celebrating, my neice will be turning 10- her birthday cruise

When we got our cruise packet from Disney, I am pretty sure it said we could start booking things on August 27. I can't believe it's just about that time (considering we booked in May of last year!). Wow! :)

We will be coming from the BWI and BWV, so will not be able to join you all for dinner the night before at the port. I believe we have ADRs at Jiko that night. But, hope you guys have lots of fun that night, and glad that there are so many cruising kids about the same age. DIS Meets at such a young age... they'll be hooked early!

Anyone on this cruise adults only/or sans kiddos? We are 27, 28, 34, and 37, and I promise, we all play well with others. :teeth:

All adults here. No kids.

Glad to hear that, iankh! We were feeling a little left out! The only kids we have are furry, 4-legged, and certainly not welcome on any cruise ship. :) See you at the Quiet Cove Pool, or my profile is set-up to accept email. Feel free to drop me a line before hand. :)

we are researching restaurants. so far we are find a lot of seafood ones. I should have some links up for you all tonight so you can take a look and we can decide which one we like!! :cheer2:
