This will be mine and my daughters first cruise and my moms first on Disney. We are all very exited!! What is the best thing to do in Nassau? I am unsure about an excursion or just hitting the straw market. My parents hit Nassau on another cruise and didn't care for it at all. I am not sure if spending the money to spend a day at Atlantis is worth it. Any ideas?

My name is Laurie, and I am a wife, stay at Home/Homeschooling Mom, and just started making my own bows, which turned into a business (hmmm, maybe that is how I can pay for our next cruise). We are Fla. Natives and live about 1 1/2hrs away from Port Canaveral. My husband and I have been married for 18 yrs and have 2 kids....Cole, 10 yr old, Minecraft obsessed boy, and Brianna, our beautiful 3 year old Princess who loves Minnie Mouse and most things Disney....even though, she's never been.

I'm so excited!! I've been trying to talk my hubby to going on a cruise for almost 20 years! I had pretty much just given up and realizing that unless I go with a group of girlfriends, or make other arrangements, it just wasn't going to happen. Well, last week my MIL and FIL called to tell us they were taking us on the Disney Dream for our bday/Christmas gifts! I'm beyond excited and busily planning already.


I have been on 3 cruises in the early 90's, but this will be our family's first Disney Cruise. I wish this could become a tradition, but with the prices the way they are, I really can't see that happening. Any tips to make it more affordable for a family of 4?

Also, is there still time to sign up for the FE? I've been reading up about them and what a fantastic idea!

Hi, Saffira! Welcome to our group! Are you on Facebook? That's the best place to interact with everyone in our cruise group...it's a little more active and that's where you'll find the link to the FE signup and other info. We're also trying to get enough adults to sign up for a mixology class while on the cruise, if that's something you and your hubby might be interested in...sign up for that is also on the FE document.

You will need to send a private message to Stephanie (fundulidae) on here or to her Facebook account to be granted access to our Facebook group and then the FE document is linked in the group. If you scroll through the posts on here, you will see her info and a link to her FB account as well.
