Decaf Coffee???

I had my first DVC stay as a new DVC member over the weekend. We had a split stay at the BWV in a standard studio and at SSR in a studio. Both rooms had PLENTY of coffee packets for our stay, but NONE of them were decaf. Was this a fluke? Are you supposed to get decaf as well? Has anyone had any success "trading-in" the regular for decaf with Mousekeeping or just asking for decaf in the room? Thanks.

Usually you get one coffee pod and one decaf coffe pod, and a packet with sugar, dry creamer and stirrer.

Our recent stays at VWL (12/2/10) & SSR (12/6/10) both had multiple regular coffee filter packs, cream, sugar, stirs. No Decaf.

I know some want, or need, decaf, but I have always have thought of it as "kissing your sister".

It may or may not be incorrect, it may vary by what the housekeepers happen to have at the various resorts. I know we used to get decaf, but have not for several years at OKW.

We even asked a housekeeper at BWV this Oct for decaf, and she said they did not have any.

Maybe they discontinued offering decaf because they figured not many people drank it. We always used to get one packet each of regular and decafenated. And on T&T day, we'd get another of each. Since we don't drink decaf, we accumulated quite a collection. However, in the last year or so, we've only gotten the regular coffee.

Thanks for all the responses. It appears that the general consensus is that it is either not available anymore or very scarce, so I will be sure to bring my own supply next trip. Thanks!

I know this is not for everyone but we solved the coffee problem by storing a single brew keurig coffemaker in our owners locker. My DW and I enjoy decaf but when we bring the crew their taste range from regular to flavored to hot chocolate to tea, so everyone is happy.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom at BLT last week. My DM called housekeeping and they promptly brought us 4 packets of decaf. They stated it doesn't get drank or requested very often so now she stated you just need to call and ask. Good luck!
