Dec UY with points....

Newbie here looking at a contract thru resale for December use year with 100 pts remaining for December 2008., Can someone pls clarify this? Does it mean they need to be used before Dec 08 so I won't lose them. Is there an option to bank them and use them for next year, before Dec 09?Thanks!!!

December 2008 hasn't happened yet. You have until the end of Nov 2009 to use or lose the points, if they are truly 2008 points.

With a December UY you do have the option to bank points into the following UY - but it must be completed by July 31st of that year. So if they actually are 2008 points then you have until 7/31/09 to bank them... but if they were actually 2007 points then you will lose them if you don't use them since you would have had to bank them by 7/31/08.

Thanks so much for the replies. They are Definitely Dec 2008 points (NOT 2007). I thought I would have to complete travel by then or 7/31/2009, but it sounds like I must bank by 7/31/2009, unless a trip is planned !!!

How big is the contract that you are considering? If there are only 100 points left beginning Dec 1, 2008, how many were borrowed? Or is it only a 100 point contract?
