I have been to the park multiple times but haven't ever stayed in a hotel. My entire family lives in the area so we usually stay with them but this time me and my BFF are going and she hasn't had a vacation in a long time. I was looking at hotels within walking distance. Me being a college student and her being a recent grad money is tightish so I don't want to pay the $15 to park everyday. So I was looking at those across from the maingate, across from Toy Story lot (so we can use the buses) and also was looking at the Sheraton on Ball (Taft?) because they have a shuttle and it wouldn't be a bad walk in the morning to get to Mickey and Friends.

We are looking at going December 14th-18th. Also I have an AP and AAA so if you know any hotels that offer discounts for those that would be awesome!

Worst case we stay with my Grandmother off Cambridge but it would be nice to be close.

Desert Inn & Suites is usually pretty affordable, located right at the crosswalk that leads up the bus path. No need to take a bus at all!! Also is next door to a Denny's if you guys want to eat off-site.

Hojo's offers an AP discount even when their super special rates are sold out...I can't remember how much though. Maybe 15%?
We've stayed at Desert Inn and Suites and like it a lot, as well as Best Western Park Place Inn and mini suites. Both of those are right across from the crosswalk on Harbor.

Thanks! Is that the one on the corner of Harbor and Katella?

Hojo and Desert Inn are the other 2 I was looking into. Its one thing to look on a site but I trust opinions on here :)

desert inn and suites, del sol inn and ramada maingate are the ones I have booked before. ramada offers deals right on their website. All three of these motels are across the street. With ramada I ended up getting a half off monday-thursday deal and only ended up paying $49/night for a portion of our stay. (checked though, they only have a room upgrade deal going on right now) del sol was 113/night last year and I got a room for $99/night at desert inn and suites this year.

I'm thinking rates might be on the higher end right now because your reservation would be next month.

I like to use expedia or another site like that just to get ideas on prices and then go to the actual website to see if they have any special offers.

Check the rates at the Super 8 on Disneyland Dr. and Ball Rd. (across from the Sheraton Anaheim). Good rates, clean, breakfast (continental), friendly staff. The walk is only few minutes more than from the Sheraton.

Also, AAA multiday tickets come with free parking. That will save you $15 per day.
