My DF and I are headed to SSR in December for the first time. We are looking

forward to this trip. Cooler weather, (hopefully smaller crowds), The X-mas

theme, and much more. What I would like to know from people, that stayed at

SSR and disney over the holiday's, is what should we avoid? What are the must

see's? Any other advice?

To let you know, we are scheduled for the X-mas party on the 12th. We are

also scheduled for Mickey's Backyard Barbaque.

Any recommendations would be appreciated. It's not like we are rookies. Not

at all. As you can see from the list. This is just our first pre-X-mas visit. I

am sure that this has been asked before, and I am sorry in advance.

Thank you

I would have voted for both. They are each special. We like the Halloween party because we get to dress up. We like the Christmas party because there is something special about seeing it snow on Main Street.

Both have fantastic fireworks.

Be sure to see Illuminations as they do a Christmas version that brings me to tears. And be sure to look at Spaceship Earth before you leave (from WS). Then there are the Osbourne family lights at MGM

You will have a wonderful time!

I couldn't vote as we've only have done the MNSSHP (lastyear) .

I think it's going to be hard to beat as we are holloween type people.

We are arriving as you are leaving this year so we will see. DW loves decorations so she will be in heaven as DD and myself check them out then leave her there as we go ride some rides.

The DF and I have been to the MNSSHP the last two years. We love it. The kids love the candy and the characters dressed up in other costumes. My DW and I love it because it is a secure enviroment. Plus we all love the parade. I would naturally vote for MNSSHP. However, we have heard wonderful things about the X-mas party.

To be honest, we had not planned to go back for another 3 years or so. With the latest addition this past January of a DD, we wanted to wait until she was old enough.

Late this spring, on what some might call a hair brain idea, I convinced the DW to purchase a week at SSR. It was not that hard as she loves Disney almost as much as I do. The driver for this started as we were looking to rent points. Why rent them from someone else, when we could get our own, then rent them when we were not going. For me, summer is out. Call that May-end of September. Way to hot. So the only time of year that we have not been there so far is the holiday season.

Thank you.
