You get early entry into the Mega MouseMeet (includes refreshments)
A Mousefest Lanyard, Pin (with your name) Raffle ticket, Mousefest booklet includes mailing to your address.
Why don't you register just one person if cost is a concern.......really, do you need six booklets! That way you will know what is going on and feel part of the group. You can all go to the MMM just not all get in early.

Good Morning

I have decided I better start making the list. Can all those who are going to participate in the Fish Extender exchange please PM me your name, cabin number and also the makeup of your party (ie2 adults 2 kids). If you have a GTY cabin please let me know the other info so that I can have you on the list.

Thank you

Lisa

PS I finally told my dd's that I am going without them, my oldest DD looked at me and said nothing for about a minute with a look of shock on her face and then said you have to take us some other time then.

Ok, time for the first time cruiser to show her ignorance.

What, pray tell, is the Fish Extender exchange? :confused3

Welcome aboard, the cruise is coming fast.

For the gift exchange, it is like a secret Santa, I will make a list of all the people who have signed up and then sometime during the cruise you will deliver a small gift to them. It is up to you if you want to sign the gift or leave it blank. You will attach your extender to the "fish" outside your door and this is where the gifts will be left for you and where you will deliver your gifts too.

So far I think we have 12-13 families signed up

If you look in the main cruise section there are several threads on how to make a fish extender or buy one, and also some gift ideas.

I am tenativley going to take DCL transfers back to WDW after the cruise but I was checking car rental rates and I found some good ones.

For some reason at times budget.ca is less than budget.com but I was able to reserve a car for less than $30 one day one way rental Cape Canaveral to MCO, using a Spirit Airlines' "Top Picks" code with BCD# U109700. Any other time I have looked at prices they have been around $50.

Hope this helps someone, still not sure if I rent.

:) sounds fun. Especially since it's close to Christmas anyway.

Is it we each give one gift or we give a gift to everyone who's signed up?

Either way I like the idea, so as the expression goes, sign me up. :thumbsup2

As to a fish extender, I was thinkning of getting a Disney Christmas Stocking. Again given the time of year it seems appropriate and will go with the door decorations. :)

I will add you to the list. Please send me a PM with you cabin number and the number of people in your cabin. A stocking is a great idea.:thumbsup2

I am trying to make this exchange as simple as possible with as few rules. 1 gift per cabin is the minimum, but it is a personal choice if you want that gift to be for the cabin or get a small something for each person in the room. An example if I was making a special magnet that I know the whole cabin could enjoy I would give one, but if I was giving lollipops to a room with 4 little kids, I would leave 4. It is a personal choice and it does depend on what you are giving, and I do not want anyone to feel that they must give so much. It is supposed to be fun.:goodvibes

Have to talk to my 'room-mate' and see what she wants to do, but love the idea of the gift exchange. Just finished our fish extender, signed up for Palo brunch, registered with MouseFest, both land and sea. Looks like we're good to go.
Can't wait to get to port!!!

Steffy and I are going on the cruise. We just cannot wait. :cool1:

We are coming down on Dec 5 and staying at All Star Movies, then the cruise then back to Pop till Dec 16 :dance3:

That's what we are doing this cruise. I have an "offical" fish extender but since it's Christmas I'm going to use a Christmas stocking. I just haven't decided if I'm going to decorate a plain stokcing or use one of our Disney stockings.

Tried to reserve at midnight last night - nope. Any way we might still be able to secure a reservation? My wife's real disappointed.:sad1:

More than likely, you'll still be able to get in. They hold a limited amount of reservations for embarkation day. At check in they can let you know the exact place/time that they will have Palo bookings. I think we did it one trip in Beat Street, but I can't remember for sure. We'll also be going there on embarkation day to add our friends to our party of 2 that we have booked currently.

I know that they also do wait lists too if they are fully booked. On one of our cruises, one couple in our dis group wait listed Palo for every night and managed to get in each night for dinner at Palo.

Is anyone going to the party on Dec 11? I originally was not going to go, but now I thinking I should has anyone been to one of the hard ticket parties recently?

Lisa

We are going to go to MVMCP on the 12th. We are generally up really early on debarkation day and I don't think our boys would make it all night at MK. After getting off the ship, we are checking into to Animal Kingdom and might go to AK for the afternoon parade and a trip on the safari before meeting up with friends from a previous cruise for dinner at Boma.

We did MVMCP the last couple of years and MNSSHP last year. Both parties are great and well worth the $ to us. The waits for rides were practically non- existent and the parades, fireworks, and other special events for the night are awesome.

We're going on the 12th. After we get off the cruise we are going to check in at the Poly and just hang around there i think. Then we have dinner ressies in MK. So we'll have dinner and dothe party.

I'm a little worried because my DD usually goes to bed at 7:30/8. so i'm hoping i can bribe her to rest int he afternoon. At any rate, I figured it was worth a shot. I'm hoping we can do the party for a few hours, but i don't think she will make it much past that. Who know... maybe the adenaline will keep her going. I'm just glad that we won't have a long ride back to the hotel from the park. :-)

You'll have decent non- melting weather too in your favor. We went straight to MGM (DHS) in May 2006 after debarking after the assigned early breakfast and it was so hot and the kids were so tired they fell asleep at noon in a Beauty and the Beast show. We don't go to the debarkation breakfast anymore (ours was early from early dining rotation) and just do the buffet and leave a bit later.

Being close to MK will help greatly, especially if you rest up in the afternoon. We generally go, go, go most days ourselves thanks to adrenaline. I think having AP's for the 1st time this past year has made us go a bit slower though because we no longer stay all day, every day (we felt the need to get the $ out of our other tickets before). We tend to get up for rope drop, and either call it an early night or go back and rest mid-day and return to the same park or hop.

Where are you eating at MK? We have ressies at the Crystal Palace on the 12th during the party. The last 2 years at MVMCP we did a TS for lunch and just CS meals for dinner, but we are trying something new by doing a TS. Our main goal for the night is to see the parade and fireworks and everything else is a bonus.

ok i goofed... it's actually the 11th we are doing the party. it is the day we debark. we are going to Crystal Palace for dinner at 4:55. i've been to CP before but only for breakfast. It was very good for breakfast/brunch. I'm wondering how the dinner is? a friend hd suggested Liberty Tavern but they were all booked up.

I've never been to the party. So i'm wondering what shouldn't be missed. My DD will be nearly 6 wen we go.

Crystal Palace is actually my favorite dinner buffet on WDW property. DH's favorite is Tusker House and the boys love LTT. If you go on allearsnet dot com (written out in case it got censored) you can see the menus on their dining link.

MVMCP is a lot of fun. Besides the parade (we try to see both) and fireworks, we loved Mickey's Night Before Christmas show, ds7 loved the dance parties, and we loved just sitting down and soaking up the atmosphere eating the cookies and drinking the hot chocolate they give out. The ride wait times were about as long as it took us to walk through the queued area.
