Dec. 10 - Wednesday
Today was the Magic Kingdom. Since we live in California, we have been to Disneyland numerous times and it was nice to see the contrast in the two parks. Some things we thought were done better and some not. Beth's favorite ride at Disneyland was the "PeopleMover" and she was happy to be able to enjoy it again. Cameron enjoyed his favorite, Buzz Lightyear. Gary and I both enjoyed the Carousel of Progress. Since it too, is no longer at Disneyland, it brought back memories, especially the theme song for me. We stayed all day and rode everything with little crowds to deal with...how nice. the park closed around 7pm, so we headed out to the Boardwalk to look around. In the Boardwalk Inn lobby we saw all of the candy and gingerbread displays of an old fahioned theme park. We were all amazed!! The kids then wanted to go to Disney Quest...so off we went!! Disney Quest was fun, although a little too loud for me. After a while, Robyn and I left do to some window shopping and we met up with everyone later. Again back to the condo, late and tired!

Dec. 11 - Thursday
This was the day our family moved "onsite" to the Caribbean Beach Resort for the remaining 5 days of vacation. We checked out of the condo in the morning and headed over to WDW. Check-in went very smooth and my few requests had been met - a room on the first floor, non-smoking, and in Martinque Bldg. 23.
The room was ready and after dropping off our luggage, I called Robyn and we(the girls) decided to do some shopping. the guys had a fishing excurison reserved leaving from the Wilderness Lodge for about 3 hours so we agreed to pick them up later in the afternoon. Shopping was lots of fun since we "hit" a couple of the outlet centers. Beth and I spent way too much!!
We left for the Wilderness Lodge a little early and relaxed on some beach chairs near the marina. We kept watching the different boats come in and finally spotted them All three of them had a great time. They each caught at least 4 - 5 nice sized bass. Cameron said the fishing was fun and having snacks on the boat was nice!! (The snacks are included in the cost and at Cameron's age, food is a big part of his fun time!!) Gary commented that since Katriena had made the reservation for them, they got the trip for 50% off using her CM discount. Dinner that evening was an an Applebee's near the condo.

Dec. 12 - Friday
Since Katriena would be finishing the College Program in January, Robyn and Tom planned to go to her apartment today to pack and ship a lot of her stuff home. They took off in the morning and we agreed to call them later to meet for dinner. Our family took off to visit the Animal Kingdom again. We went on the Safari again and saw lots of animals. We saw the baby elephant, cheetahs, hippos, giraffe, and a huge black rhino that got a little too up close and personal with our ride vehicle!! Wow, was Cameron excited!! Somehow we still didn't get to see the Tarzan Rocks show. This was a good day and it was nice to be "just the four of us".
Robyn and Tom were leaving on Saturday, and as a "thank you" to them Katriena for all of the $$ we saved using their shared discounts, Gary and I bought dinner for everyone at the Cape May Buffet. We had a wonderful meal with lots of choices and we all left "stuffed". After dinner, we played miniature golf at the Winter/Summerland course. It was lots of fun and I got some good pictures of everyone. We went our separate ways after hugs and saying our goodbyes to Robyn and Tom. When we got back to CBR, Cameron and I went for a swim in the quiet pool while I did a few loads of laundry. The laundry room is right near the pool.

Continued in Part 4...

I love shopping too. Always fun to do the safari and see those animals up close and personal. An Ostrich tried to climb aboard one day. To us that was a riot. Thanks again for your report
