Dec. 31 vs. Jan. 1

From what I've been reading, New Year's Eve seems to draw serious crowds. Is the same true of Jan. 1? I'm trying to decide which day would be best. I'm not interested in fighting a huge crowd.

I was there today 12/30 and it was the WORST I have ever seen it. 2 hours seemed to be the wait time for most rides. ......

Even pirates had 90 min, I have never seen that before.
