Dec 3-8 or Dec. 11-16 Which one would you choose?

I am trying to decide which of these dates would be best. The first date falls during Pop Warner and also the Christmas Parade taping. The second date is getting closer to Christmas and also corresponds with last years free dining dates which makes it more crowded.

We would be staying at French Quarter with a cast member discount so hopefully wouldn't encounter the throngs of Pop Warner kiddos. By using the cast member discount we can't get free dining so which would you go with?

Any ideas appreciated.

We went December 8 - 16 in 2012 and I thought that was the perfect time to go. It really wasn't crowded until that last weekend because kids were still in school. I'm betting most kids will still have school the week leading up to the 16th so crowds would likely not be too heavy. I'd pick that week. That said, I don't think it will be a huge difference between that week and the week before. Both would be good times to go.

I agree with PP. We usually go the first week of December, but have also gone the second. I have noticed no significant change in crowds until the weekend of the 18th/19th. This year we have chosen the second week and I am feeling good (and excited!) about it. And if you can't get the free dining anyway, I would err on the side of caution in avoiding PW! Have a wonderful time!

As others have said really no difference in those two weeks but once you hit the 18-20 watch out. Last year our last day was the 20th. MK was so bad we left before even making it down Main Street. They had opened the bypass and it was only 10:30.

I think crowds would be a bit lower that first week of dec 3-8, as the other week goes along you just get closer to Christmas and more people coming in. We had a great time during that week last year, and starting our trip this dec on the 3rd .
