Dec 3-14 PTR - D23 & Reunion2010! updt 1/3/11

 Yay for cheap rooms! Even if Disney is weird! HORRAY!

I'm going to double-check the rates by calling back in a few dates; people on another thread are telling me it's wrong?? :confused3

I've been wanting to go too. I usually go every summer but haven't made the trip this year (it's about 3 hours from here). My nephews are going on Sunday and my SIL invited me to go with them but since I just paid off Disney, I need to start saving here and there for spending money!

to Hersheypark? I'm thinking of going back before the season closes in September....

Ok, there is an update to the October schedule!

I saw a Groupon/Living Social sale for a Segway tour of Celebration for $20 for 70 minutes, so I went for it! At Disney, these tours are easily 3-4x that amount.

I was going to visit Celebration anyway, so it's all good. If by some weird reason, I can't use these in October for me and the girls, then I'll use it for December.

The vouchers are good for an entire year! And the sale is only for 1 day! So, if you want it, go for it NOW.

Groupon/Living Social $20 Celebration Segway tour

ok, I'm back. I need a weekend trip to Atlantic City and now have to get back to this PTR.

For October:

- buy my MNSSHP tickets!

- check-in on Photopass

- add in Food & Wine Classic at Swan/Dolphin

- shore up all other plans

For December:

- airfare!

- I may or may not add 2 more days to trip.....

- Candlight Processional goes on sale in a couple of days! :woohoo:

There is, respectively....

42 & 100 days to getting my Disney ON!
:woohoo: :yay: :dance3:

I have a question for you if you don't mind...how do you like D23? Is it worth it? Are you silver or gold??

I guess that was more than 1...sorry

well, yes and no.

I have the gold, only because I'm a charter member.

The events they have are fantastic!! (even tho I was underwhelmed at the 1st anni party, it was still great!). The mag is very nice and the little gifts are just precious. There is a boutique attached to it with exclusives, but you know it gets out there on ebay. I did buy a D23 shirt, pin which are nice, but the rest of their stuff is very highly priced.

However, D23 is very slow about giving out info, so you have to put alot of trust in them. And their ticketing process is absolutely horrendous.

Their first year, pricing was good. This year, their pricing has skyrocketed & you get half the stuff. :sad2:

for instance, out in LA, tours were free, now it's a charge. I believe last years Sip & Stroll was $50 w/park admission, gift card, disney quest, dinner; this year, $85 with none of those things ($185 with big dinner).

So....it kind of depends. If you are near to the parks, you're golden, because, you can get there with no problem. If you live outside of the area, like me, not so golden. If you are ok with going with the flow & higher event prices, then go for it. Now, that said, the events, they do put on seem to always be winner and nothing you can get anyhere else. :goodvibes

For the December trip:

- Candlelight Processional is now BOOKED! After 47 minutes of waiting after getting in on the dot of 7am, I finally got LeCellier for the 12/10 6:45 show since the 8:15pm was sold out already. :woohoo:

I was on my cell for a total of 54 minutes & 53 seconds. oiy.

I have to check my info, but I do believe that I would have to cancel my Hoop De Revue ressie. Oh well. Next Time.

Ok, I double-checked online and there it was....AP rates wre different. So, this time, I called the AP line and got my ressie modified to reflect actual AP rates. Saved $20!! :woohoo:

Though, my CM seemed a little disbelieving. :confused3 No matter, got it modified, so it's alllllll good. :thumbsup2

For the October trip, D23's Sip & Stroll is now booked! :thumbsup2

So, glad one more thing is done. Now, I need to get MNSSHP & Universal tickets and I think I'm done with ticketing buying for October!!! :woohoo:

Thank you everyone for reading, but recent events have me going through a very intense, very sad personal tradegy.

I hope to be back to continue updating this PTR.

Thank you for your understanding! :grouphug:

Thank you fo waiting everyone. I'm not entirely back yet...

Just an update that the October trip for my sister & niece may not be happening due to a very sad death in the family.

I will probably still go, since I was going for longer and being sad all the time is mentally & physically exhausting. I think I need my happy place now more than ever.

Thank you for understanding. :grouphug:

Sorry to hear there was a death in the family. I understand completely. A week or so before I went to the World last year, my cousin who I had grown up with passed away suddenly. I contemplated cancelling my whole trip but I didn't because I knew it would get my mind off of everything. It really did help.

While still not completely back back, I need to update this PTR and I need distractions. I still ahve alot to do with the estate, etc and it's taking alot out of me.

So, happy place, here I come!

Update: my sister is still flying down but my niece will not be coming. She is not dealing well at all with this and other things and her behavior is not such where I'm going to take her to my happy place.

So, the ticket I bought for her to go to MNSSHP on 10/14 is available. I don't think it's refundable but I can call and ask Disney.

I will also have to see about the ADRs I made as well.

I'm glad you are still going. and I sorry for your loss. I think you are right though, you need to get on with life and try to cheer up a bit.

I always love your trips becuase you do some of the neatest things.
And We just might have a chance to meet up in Dec. If al lgoes well we are going to stay 2 nights at AKL, then switch over to Pop on the 10th for free dining. Still trying convince Skip about it though. I do have them booked, so I have till 45 days out to get him to say yes.

Thank you both for your sympathies. :grouphug:

Jenny105 - I'm sorry about your cousin.

I'm not sure whether going to Disney is the best thing to do while grieving, but I'd figure I might as well. Everything with estates and things are going so slow anyways. And I'm available by cell all the time in case, I am needed for something. I should make sure where all the fax services are just in case, tho.

At this point, the December trip is still on. But that may change, depending on what is needed.
