I feel your pain, literally. Last night I started really feeling the stress too. My left arm goes into spams and then I got one in my lower back. At that sig I went to bed and watched the 1st disc of Nip & Tuck. Removing my brain from my present life. Today I'm better, but I'm comitted to packing all today. I still have (want to) finished Willie's kart scrapbook for Xmas, that will be Monday's job.



It's hard to leave a new pet. Take a picture or 12 of him for on your camera so when you need him you can see him.

Nice Casey story here...Yesterday I found an old movie that a friend made of us at the beach in Half Moon Bay, and Casey was in it. The movie is from when Molly is 5 and Willie 2, about 6+ years ago. Can't believe how cute and little my kids were and man I cried when I saw Casey running and happy on the beach. I miss her. This is the first Christmas without her

Nan...that is so very sad & you will ALWAYS miss her....just remember she lives forever in your hearts as my Niner does...i MISS him SOOOO much too....he LOVED his Christmas rawhide bone - would spend ALL day chewing on that...

I've also got a bit of a funk going on in my mind and heart about my dad. When I met some of our loverly cruisers on the Xmas Cruise of 2005, that was also right before the last time I saw my dad. We had a dinner right before we left for our vacation and knew that he may not have been well when we returned. Sure enough, he was gone before the end of January. So it's kinda hard being so happy to see my dear friend Aisling (& the boys) again, but also remembering the pain of of losing my dad shortly thereafter.

I remember the last time we talked on the phone was New Year's Day. I was walking thru DTD and he was cheery and happy (even though later I learned from my mom that he had already begun to feel ill)

Just hard times thinking that maybe it would have been different if we stayed home and had my parents stay in the Bay Area with their good health care instead of heading back to their house in the snow country (where they had a crappy doctor). Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda and knowing that you can't go back in time...

oh Nan...please don't think all that....I'm sure there was very little that could have been changed & I bet your Dad is so proud of how well you're taking care of Mom & taking her on this trip...kieeping her busy & happy!!!

Nan, I so agree with Brenda.
I remember how worried about your dad you were on the 2005 cruise. And then so shortly after to hear the sad news. I believe in heaven, and Nan what better Christmas gift to give dad than to cruise with mom for NYE.

I have to snap out of it about leaving Brian, because I'll still have him when I come back. The reminiscing about Casey and Niner is so bittersweet, I can feel your emotion. And Mika, too. This will be Tig's first Christmas without Mika.

I know Artie can't read this (no computer) but he did the right thing taking his family closer to the airport.

We got Mika for the kids for Christmas in 1997.

I do too Aisling, I know he is in a better place, it's just hard for those of us yet to arrive.

You are right to miss Brian he is your baby and it's way hard to leave a baby at home too

And yes, Mika and Casey I'm sure are running around together having met up above.

Good COLD morning!

I think Artie and family are on their way, and Anjelica is arriving today also. I'll be going to Michael's later to buy us white tees and ironing on Tig's Magic Matey's logo. We'll be wearing them at boarding the ship.

Jesse and I are basically packed. Chad not yet, but he knows exactly what he's bringing, so it's a non-chore for him.



Anyway, I've calmed down a lot about the cruise, no more panic-mode. I think it's because I'm so cold, I'm looking forward to some Caribbean heat.

I'm still hosting our Christmas Eve dinner party, but will be starting early instead of the usual 6 pm. There just won't be any time to hang out and party all night since we have to be at the airport the next day by 5 am. I'll be up early to start the cooking, but I'm not going all out this time. By coincidence, our church is doing it's Midnight Mass at 5 PM this year, not sure why, but it works for me.

Just thinking out loud now, but I have to make a list of some last minute things to not forget to pack, like battery chargers etc.

I bought Brian a flavored rawhide bone last night and I see he's chewing on the wrapper instead!

Morning all

cold here - currently 0 and with the wind chill about - 12 but no snow - which I guess is a good thing

Spent sometime yesterday with an old girlfriend who was in town - we have known each other since about birth - our mom's were friends in high school - it was fun - and a nice diversion

Kara finally tried on all the clothes that she wants to take - the party dress she was thinking of bringing is too big - so re thinking on that

I know it is silly - but I iron the clothes that we are bringinig - got about 1/2 done last night while watching a movie

off to blast the kid out of bed - she has a ton of stuff to do today - besides finding that stupid cable

Hey Aisling, we've had one person try to iron on the decal backwards...

it is NOT one of those kind of iron ons!!!

Have something to put over the decal (cotton tee, piece of paper, something safe to iron that will give you a barrier between the iron and the decal.) It goes on the way you see it. Anjelica sent me a message on saturday about this, while I was out with John, and I got back too late to answer her.

Cold morning here too. Wind chills below zero. I'm jealous of those already in Florida!

Made my buttons with Tiggs signs. Is everyone wearing their t-shirts to the port?

Aisling--I made a small door sign with pictures of my dog that we place on the inside of our cabin door so we see her all the time.

You guys were awfully chatty!!! lol.

I just caught up.

We are very excited.. We have all the fish extender stuff.. now I just have to do something to them.. and they are all set.. We both had Friday off of work due to the storm.. so we went through all our clothes (well.. mostly Brian, as I know what fits and what doesnt.. lol.. the new stuff fits!!) and we set them aside in a laundry basket, so the skids would think it was just clean clothes that need to be put away. (feel bad, we cant take them (passports and all) and so we chose to not tell them... no hard feelings that way)

We are pulling out the suitcases tonight.. and going to start packing them up. Called and got Brian's tux rented on Friday.. YEAH!!! 2 nights I dont have to worry about clothes for him...

We are all set for Xmas (gifts have been purchased and wrapped for a week now), all the decorations are up.. I made arrangements w/my mom to watch my kitties.. Brian made sure that he shoveled well enough that mom should have no problem finding parking (we have enough room in our driveway if it all gets shoveled, and Brian made sure it did)

We have a nice relaxing few days ahead of us before heading down to Disney.. We can not wait. Watched Samantha Brown's Holiday in Disney Travel Channel show last night.. that totally got us in the mood. Also, we checked out the weather for Friday and its looking CLEAR!!!! YIPPIE!!!

Aisling, I get sad about leaving my fur babies all the time. I miss them greatly, no matter how great of a time I am having... Its just part of being a parent to a fur baby!!

Key West 12/28 - Partly Cloudy and low of 66 and a high of 75

Grand Cayman 12/30 - Sunny low of 75 high of 79

Cozumel - 12/31 - Scattered showers low of 69 high of 81

sounds loads better than our current 6 and with the wind chill a - 11

okay she isn't the only one with backward logos, us too.

The instructions tell you to reverse the image on your printer before printing and iron them on. Paul had done these exact things 5 years ago with artwork for Wilson's preschool class and we found out you really have to follow instructions. I'm not sure that you can iron them face up and have them stick or not. We are backwards and they are on our backs at shoulder level, we thought they were funny and decided to rock with it that way
