Dec 2014/ Jan 2015

Well since we're going February 14th, I'm going to hijack this thread and join in. ;)

I did have my wedding photographer booked for a family portrait, but there was a miscommunication and the only day she has available is our arrival day, so we may have to give it a miss, unless I can convince DH to let me book flights a day earlier, which isn't really fair because that will take a day away from spending time with his family.

I still have so much to book! I've booked international flights, our WDW accommodation, purchased park tickets and memory maker and am slowly chipping away at our ADRs, but that is literally all i have done...:scared:

So internal flights, rent cars, travel insurance, book accommodation for NYC and a ski field in Massachusetts, ETSA, Generally you name it, we haven't booked it...

We will be in the USA in Jan/Feb.

I've booked the international flights and accommodation in San Francisco.

That's it :rotfl2:

I need to decide if we're going to Orlando or staying on the West before I can book anything else.

I'll be less busy by end of October so will most likely do the rest then. Our month long USA trip this year was planned and booked in 6 weeks so I'm not terribly worried.

I am headin' off to Disneyland Anaheim California -

Never been to WOC
Never been to Cars Land.......
etc -

SO many Never beens.......:cool2:
Countin' down the daze.
(120 to be exact)

And the weather??
IMHO = SHORTS WEATHER.:thumbsup2

T.T.F.N.

CHEERS Y'ALL:wave2:

Looks like there's a few of us then!!

I'm hanging to get under 100 days, 112 to go!!!!

I've been doing some procrastinating :sad2:

We have decided to pop over to Orlando :cool1: mainly to satisfy my HP fetish pixiedust: so have been pricing up flights. Who do people fly with usually? I've looked at Southwest but I'm worried about the whole choosing your own seat thing as I need to sit with my kids (medical reasons). I've looked at United, and tried to look at Virgin. Virgin dont have a flight from MCO to LAS. Do people use the same airline or mix it up? We need to fly LAX - SFO - MCO - LAS - LAX we can't really mix the flights up as want to be in WDW for two birthdays :cheer2:

Apart from that, I've booked a couple of ADR, one breakfast at Tusker for the birthday day. Unsure what to book for dinner for that day as we won't have park hopper tickets so it will have to be in the AK or DTD. Also have T-Rex booked for first day there as it won't be a park day.

Decided on 3 nights at Cabana at Universal with a 2 day hopper ticket.
Decided on POP for WDW but won't book until specials etc come out as am quite partial to POFQ. If there is free dining at POP we'll take that, if there is nothing we may change hotel choice.

Procrastination over, hope everyone is having a great Tuesday :)

If you get a cheap enough fare with southwest paying the early bird fee will get you a high enough boarding pass to hopefully sit together. I tend to stick to southwest and JetBlue for cheaper fares depending on where I'm flying and who goes there direct.

Thanks s sour. I think we might do Virgin lax-sfo and southwest sfo-mco-las-lax i will have to recheck flight schedules so we are not getting up at the crack of dawn to catch a flight.

Just waiting until specials/deals come out so we can book wdw.

We're going to Disneyland for New Years :scared1:. Arriving on 29 Dec.
Then off to Orlando. Doing a back to back on the Fantasy and 9 days at WDW.

Thanks Lisa. I can't wait. It's been such a long time since our last trip.

Celebrating my husbands 50th, plus our daughter is off to uni next year so we're looking at it as possibly the last time we go together (we have a younger son). Although I think she intends for us to pay for forever for her to go :rotfl:.

Bit worried about going in January and not knowing what the temperatures are going to be like. We've only been in September before. Thought that was good weather wise.

All hijackers are welcome :D

I am just booking the last few things and waiting for the discounts for our dates to be released (hopefully!) We are 82 days away now! Feels like nothing compared to the 800 odd days there were when we started counting!!

I've been organising our FE gifts and I may have gone a little overboard! I decided to do cabin gifts as it was easier but now I find myself adding things I for each age group and I've spent a fortune, lol. Oops! I'm having too much fun obviously, lol

Quiet in here :)

62 days for us! I checked us into our cruise today. Makes it feel a lot closer!!

I've finally finished our FE gifts. I went completely overboard :-/ Not like me at all, lol!

I'm starting to throw things into suitcases. It's getting hit here so winter stuff isn't necessary anymore. I need to source some travel vacuum bags. Has anyone bought any cheap-ish bags that worked?

I got a message from my father in law this morning letting me know that our tickets had turned up... :confused3 We're getting magic bands, so it looks like we get KTTW cards, as well as magic bands...

Oh well, must be getting closer! pixiedust:

Yay!

So, how was your last trip? I hear the weather was not very kind and NZ got one of it's late winter blasts. I hope you managed to enjoy your time anyway.

You'll just pick them up at the hotel when u check in Lisa, they come in a box, so something less to pack .
;)

Am going to jump in and say hi! Hope you don't mind me sharing my little story.....

We've just sold our house for more than expected and as I'm a teacher, we are always limited to school holidays for our trips....with these things combined, we've decided on a very spontaneous trip for December/January, and couldn't be more excited!

We've done DL 5 times, WDW 2 times and a Disney Cruise once (Dream in 2012). We are off to Tokyo Disneyland in 10 days (I'm on maternity leave ATM), but our love has always been America. We usually plan our trips 10-12 months in advance and I'm meticulous in having every single day and activity sorted out months before we depart. This will be a HUGE departure from how I normally plan and it's actually kind of exciting.

The interesting part is that our house doesn't settle until December, so we'll have to wait until then to book flights....a HUGE risk, but we've resigned ourselves to having to pay a lot, and probably having to fly something out-of-the-ordinary like Fijiian Airways, rather than Virgin Australia, which we usually fly. I'm kind of in the frame of mind at the moment that while it's pricy, these family trips are sooooooo worth it, and for once, I'm not going to listen to the negative thoughts :-). To top it off, our baby will be 9 months old at the time of departure.

Our thoughts are that as the flights will be so pricy, we might as well do the things we really want to do. Our trip looks like this:

- 4 nights in Anaheim (from December 26th)....I've already locked in BW Stovall's Inn
- 2 nights in San Francisco to surprise family over New Years
- Fly to Orlando for the 3 night Disney Dream departure on January 2nd (am hoping for some good last minute balcony rates)
- 7 or so nights in WDW, most probably staying at POP or PORS, taking advantage of the Stay/Play/Dine promotion

I know that I'll have to be flexible with a lot of things and will probably miss a lot of ADR's by booking so close, but we figure that by travelling with the baby, this trip will be more relaxed anyway.

So....am I completely crazy to think we're going to pull this off???

Hopefully haven't hijacked your post too much :):):)
