Dec 2010 Waitlist - Whose came through?

Nothing yet...still waiting for 12/1-12/12 2 bedrm at BLT (we are currently booked at OKW). Wishful thinking, I know, lol! But hoping for some Christmas Disney magic! Down to 29 days!!

Any more successes? I'm not having any luck with waitlists...even for 1 night in a 1 bedroom in VB in April isn't coming through. 1 night seems to come through for many people!

Still no love for me. I am just so torn on what to do anyway. We want to try BLT, which is what we are waitlisted for, but not sure we want to move. We are at OKW in a 2bd HH for Dec 18-26 we have a BLT waitlist for a 1bd LV for 18-21 to do a split stay. I was going to cancel the WL but now I am just thinking of seeing what happens. If it comes through great if not great.

The past two years we did wait-lists for Christmas through New Years and they all came through. This year we did the 11 month/7 month booking rather than waiting 4 months to decide whether to go or not and where? Just got too tired and stressed waiting--and waiting--and waiting for the good news. Decided it was better to book and then cancel the 30 days before if need be. I know that the term "Cancel a DVC Reservation" is not in our vocabulary.

Just wanting to see how everyone is doing on their WLs. So far nothing for me. DH and I decided to just wait it out and not cancel. We are nearing our 30 day mark. I have it extended to 7 days though.

So anyone else still waiting? Anyone doing the waitlist came through dance?

We had a STD studio at AKV for 8 DEC that we tacked on to our 9-13 DEC BWV stay It was the only studio available at booking time. We WL'd BWV and BLT for a while, but then decided to CL the WL and give AKV a try.

Then, we found out we had to cut off one day of our OCT VGC stay with less than 31 days notice, so we had holding points on another contract.

I called at the 60 day point and there were no studios available, so put in a WL for BLT studio MK view (it would use all the holding points) and BWV studio preferred (I figured it would have the best chance).

I called back a couple days later and was able to snag a SSR studio, so we cancelled the AKV studio. (We also had to cancel the last night of the 12th off our original BWV ressie.)

Right about the 35 day point, the BWV WL came through for the 8th! The 9-12 nights are STD view, so we added BLT MK view studio WL back on-keeping it 'til 7days. We figured we'd have to check out and check back in again in any case-might as well use all the holding points. . So, were back on the WL again.

Due to changes in our vacation plans, we had a 1 br in kidani on December 22 tacked on to our 1 br value in Jambo house Dec 23-28th. I wait listed a value for Dec. 22nd so we wouldn't have to move. I've been calling everyday and today I got the 1br value this morning!!! Not a waitlist success but I was able to get it with persistent calling.

Don't just waitlist, call.

We were waitlisted in October, for a one bedroom at OKW Dec 4-7, and, to our surprise, it became available within a few days.

My waitlist just came through for 12/14-12/19 at the VWL!!!! I am BEYOND shocked! Never thought it would happen. I'm so so sooooooooooo excited to be spending X-Mas at the Lodge. Woooo hooooo!!!

Still waiting for 12/28-1/1 BCV One bedroom...right now we have a BCV Studio ...been on the list a long time.

Thinking maybe I should add BWV one bedr to the wist...pixie dust please.

I have a waitlist success for the same type room as you. We were waitlisted for a value 1 bedroom for 12/24 and it came through this Friday ! We now have 11 nights in a 1 bedroom value over Christmas and 2 nights in a BCV studio over NYE - another waitlist success. See you there , neighbor !

I'm still waitlisted for a studio at BCV for Dec 8 -13. This may be the first time my waitlist didn't come through. I'm not real concerned as we are booked into AKV and BWV and I haven't stayed at BWV yet.

Still nothing for me. I called yesterday and there is NOTHING available for any of the days we are on the WL. No biggie we have a room we just were interested in doing a split stay. We are waitlisted for a 1bd LV at BLT from Dec 18-21. I will keep on trying though.

I have been wait listed for BWV and BCV 1 BR 12/5-10 since the seven month mark. Still waiting . . . this is the first time I have not gotten my wait list. At OKW which is fine, but . . . .

We booked a one-bedroom at OKW for Dec 9-14. We waitlisted for the Near Hospitality House category. That wait list came thru about two weeks ago.

We are happy !!!

Got one more day of our 12/25-29 WL @ BWV 2BR....we are currently split stay12/22-12/24 @ BWV 2BR and switch 12/25 -29 to VWL 2BR. Now we switch on 12/26 instead...slowly coming along...we eventually would LIKE to stay @ BWV the entire time, but switching on the 26th won't be too bad.

Currently doing a studio split stay... Dec 7-10th at OKW and 11-14th at BCV. Got BCV for 12-14th at 7-month window (called the moment 7mo window opened). Also waitlisted for the full 8 nights at BCV... added a second waitlist for only the night of 12th. I got the night of the 12th probably a month or two ago... still waiting on the full 8 nights.
