7 weeks to go.

any body with 3 day experience share how such a short cruise is?

Welcome aboard, Jim & Chris!! We don't have 3-day experience, but we've been on a couple of 4-day cruises. They are good, if you've never cruised before, as a way to "get your feet wet", so to speak. But we got addicted and now feel a 4-day is TOO SHORT!! That's why we're doing this one as the 2nd half of a back 2 back--so we get 7 full days of cruising!
Looking forward to meeting everyone and sharing in all the FE fun! I can't believe there are more participants on this cruise than there are on the 4-day just before! It seems the shorter the cruise, the fewer are interested in the FE. Thank you all for proving that theory wrong!!!

Everytime we agree on a hotel we come up with another reason to stay somewhere else. We were going to stay on Disney property the day we arrive and then drive to the port in the am. Then we thought stay closer to the port so the day of the cruise we won't have to drive. I never thought picking a hotel for one night could be so difficult.
If you are using your own car, you may want to look into hotels at the port that offer packages letting you leave the car with them. Folks have reported that is cheaper than at the port.
Thank You. I called the Radisson and they allow you free parking while you are on the cruise. Their nightly rate was really cheap. $89 for the night. Do you know what is a good time to arrive at the port? I heard get there early to get a good boarding number.

Wow ... what a great rate. Plus you get a shuttle to the port??? Parking at the port is $15/day, correct? So we are talking $45 - $60 for our time frame. Good deal for you!!!!!!![]()
I will have to check with DW. I believe they start letting folks into the terminal at around 10AM. She knows better than I.

Yes, dear, they let people in that early. In fact, if I remember correctly, they open up about 9:30 and start checking folks in about 10. There is a really neat cutaway model of the Magic or the Wonder to check out and it makes a great place for a photo op, too. There's a TV with Disney cartoons for the kiddies (big kids, too) and characters come out for photo ops. I had my pic taken with Minnie and I think I saw the chipmunks later. Even the floor tiles are cool--I got a charge out of them, anyway. The terminal will probably be all decorated for the holidays, too, so if you're into decor, there will be that to examine. Oh, and there's a small snack bar, and I DO mean snack, no real food.
