Dec. 2, 2007-4 night Wonder and MouseFest Cruise

SJ,

Wavebands is Deck 3 Forward... so from where you enter the ship, same deck/floor and to the right. In general the early seating is the tighter one, so usually will be assigned late seating if no kids involved, it seems to me.

Good luck with Palo's!

Thanks SSB, I too will be running there to try to get Palo's

the SSB forecast:

High - 80
Low - 70

Partly cloudy, but no rain. :)

(and lots of fun)

Real forecast at Weather.com is now lookin' pretty close to SSB's from 11/20. Would love for it to pan out that way!

Partly Cloudy
High 80°F
Low 71°F

Precip. 10 %

I think there are going to be a lot of elbows flying on the way to Wavebands to make those Palo ressies!!! Good luck to all; be flexible with times and hopefully you'll get in!!!

There was scuttlebutt on the main board about National Treasure 2 NOT being shown, but we can hope for the best, right? I'm looking forward to seeing Enchanted as well. We still haven't seen the 3rd POC so if that's on the big screen (Dumbotron!) I may have to pull up a lounge chair to watch that as well!

Does anyone have a copy of a recent Personal Navigator for the Wonder?

How do I find the Wave Banks club when I board the ship?
What are the chances of having your dining assignment changed? Is it true that they allocate late dining to folks without kids? If so, I may stick to mine :-)

Palo's is what I want to get into :-)
I have no idea. If you go back you'll notice that I copied that whole post from another site.

Actually, my husband and I have no kids and we were assigned to main seating both last year and this year through the travel agent for Mousefest. But we booked a year in advance.

Hi Jennifer,

I know what you mean about packing. We are driving down in a camper and I have tons of bags for both going down and for the cruise. There are 7 of us and I am afraid that my bags, stroller, etc are going to take over the camper  I have lists for everything and I keep remembering more things and adding them to my list (Oh No more stuff --:scared1: )

I usually pack approx 4 shorts and 4 t-shirts for the kids, plus dress clothes, swim suit and possible plan to wash once on the cruise. Sometimes it is so hard to know exactly what the kids will and won't wear this time of year. Last Nov when we went, I was the only one who wore sweatshirts, but who knows what the weather will be like this time.:santa:

What do you plan on doing with the baby on Castaway Cay? I tried to do a search and I can never seem to do one correctly on these boards. I was thinking of investing in one of those baby tent things but DH doesn't want to and thinks he'll be fine but I'm worried about sunburns. I was planning on bringing the stroller for him to sit in but I just don't know! Certainly this has come up before?

Jennifer

I'm so frustrated! I've been trying to change our dinner seating and the travel agent said that the main dining is now closed and they can't even wait list us! I've been calling ever since we booked and they keep saying the same thing so I guess it's just the way it is. :scared1: The last time, we got on the ship and they changed it for us so I'm hoping and praying that they can do that this time. 8:00 dinner is NOT going to work for my 3 little ones, even if I do a snack before. They get so tired at night and won't be able to sit through the show beforehand and will be passed out asleep by the time we need to get to dinner. I know we booked late and it's our fault but it couldn't be helped based on our personal circumstances. We could only do ONE dinner last time bc my son couldn't sit through the meal no matter what time and I was so looking forward to dinner each night.

I know Disney frowns on jeans for dinner, but what about the Pirates night? My understanding is that everyone is encouraged to dress like a pirate--does that mean jeans (or actually, denim capris) are ok?

I'm trying desperately to pare down my packing!

Hi Joan. Yes I have heard that jeans for pirate night is fine. I have seen it asked several times on the cruise boards.
I just tried to pack and kind of gave up (for now)

As long as it's accessorized with pirate touches, it sounds like part of a costume to me!pirate:

It would so much simpler if there was room for our steamer trunks under the beds....

I know what you mean, Marc... last time on a 3-day, I think that I would have been fine for clothes for a trans-Atlantic... ha-ha! Gotta' not overpack this time.... more room for beverages! ;)

Does anyone remember on the mousefest cruise sign-up if you were automatically entered into the door contest or did you have to indicate that on the sign-up?? I didn't want to commit to anything when I was planning in case I ran out of time and well I was able to get some decorations done for the door and was just wondering.pirate:

I'm pretty sure there was a cutoff for the door contest, Kimmy. Hey, the door will still look great if you decorate it though!!! We're not entered (it sounds like Tom and Ann Marie have gone all out though!) but we will have daily signage up! Stop by and see what's on tap for the day! (No, not beer!!!!)

I think I am done packing. :cool1: I brought jeans and a pirate shirt for dinner. Jeans are now ok for dinner any night. I was so worried what I packed for our first cruise and today I just threw some clothes in the luggage and hope everything works out.

I am pretty sure if you signed up for mousefest and gave your stateroom then you are in the contest. I still don't know what Tom has made for our door. Every time he comes out of the bedroom he has something new. He is like a little kid with this. :rotfl2:

We are off to have the girls gym pictures taken today and their last practice before we leave. There is always something to do around here.

Thanks for the reassurance about the jeans. I won't go so far as to say I have a "costume" but I do have a few pirate themed touches, so I can toss one more pair of dress pants out of the suitcase.

My packing issue stems from the fact that I need to leave in 35 degree weather, spend several days in 80+ weather, and then be prepared for 4 nights in Orlando where the temperatures will drop into the low 40s! It's strange to be packing shorts and long underwear! I feel as if I am packing for four seasons and not just ten days! Thank goodness for Magic Express.

We have "registered" for the door contest, I think, but the form on the registration link was the same form as for the Mousefest navigator, so I am hoping we're signed up! It was a little confusing--we might want to suggest that next year's registration just have a "do you want to enter the stateroom door contest/" line.

We should be getting into MCO in almost exactly 48 hours. Woo-hoo. Looking forward to meeting all of you, and jealous of Grandmaz who is already there!

Safe travels, everyone!! See ya real soon!
