Dec 18, 2011 - Disney Dream

Now that it's getting close, I'm checking the weather at WDW every few days. Orlando is due for overnights in the 40's through the weekend. Hoping the next few weeks will bring a significant warmup.

I haven't been on the page recently... Are there any plans for a DisBoard meet-up? We missed the FE list. Thanks!

Just extended our trip for 3 nights.

Last month we could not get the 3 nights after the cruise at any DVC resort. However, this morning we grabbed 3 nights at Old Key West.

Flights came down enough to cover the transfer fee and still get a small refund.

Now trying to book dining reservations.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

It's 10 days until we cruise :yay: and I'm setting at the doctors office with my 5 year old who has a bad cough and a temperature of 102. I told my mom that at least it happened this week at not next week. Now all I have to do is keep DD9, DH, and myself well.

See everyone soon,
Krista

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to check in and make sure everyone was doing ok. It has been a crazy weekend here for us. We have had 1 daughter that had an ear infection, a 103 temperature, and the stomach flu. :scared1: Our other daughter and myself also had the stomach flu, which we not so kindly shared with my parents and my brothers family. I am just thankful it was this weekend and not next week. :worship:

1 week from today we will be on board the beautiful DREAM!!! :cool1: :woohoo: :yay:

See you real soon,
Krista

At least you still have a week to get better.

The youngest and I both came into the weekend with head colds, and are trying to look on the bright side. At least we have until next weekend to get better.

And lightning never strikes twice in the same place, right?

I sure hope not. I was tempted to turn in the school project due this week and head out, but nobody can get the extra days off work. At least the girls are well enough to go back to school. Hopefully, I can get all the last minute trip and Christmas projects completed.

Feel better soon.

Hope everyone will be feeling better by the time we sail on Sunday!!:thumbsup2

Btw, I just checked Weather.com, and there's supposed to be thunderstorms on our sea day. :scared1: I just hope it holds off until after our Castaway Cay day!!! :wizard: :beach:

Just called DCL to find out what movies are playing at the Buena Vista Theatre. Thought I'd post in case anyone else was wondering...

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides 2D and 3D
Cars 2 2D and 3D
Winnie the Pooh
The Help
Fright Night 2D and 3D
Real Steal
The Muppets

Hoping everyone feels better and is ready to go for Sunday! We are finishing up our last minute stuff and the last few days of work. Leaving Saturday for MCO!

Wishing everyone good thoughts for your travels, no matter how far. :santa:

Laura

The weather forecasts have been changing several times a day when I've checked. We are still a bit out for accuracy for later in the cruise, but I am digging the sunshine and temperatures. Right now, it's 82 at Castaway Cay where we will be a week from today!! :)

We also leave Saturday for MCO. We land about 7:35pm and will be staying at the Hyatt MCO. We have a lot of packing to do!!

Watch out, Dream, here comes:
The Bahama Mama (me - Lesley, 36), The Bahamarama Dude (son - Wyatt, 12), The Bahama Little Mama (daughter - Anna, 10 but will be 11 on Christmas Day), The Bahama Grandmama (my mom - Sue, 64) and the Bahama Grandpapa (my dad - Tom, 64) :thumbsup2

Everyone here is finally well. :woohoo: The girls have gone to school the past 2 days. I asked my husband Sunday night if I could send them to school with a mask so they wouldn't catch anything else.

Anyway, we are leaving Friday to start the drive down. We plan to stay in Cape Canaveral Saturday night and we have a check-in time of 11-11:30. :yay:

See everyone real soon!!

We are so excited we fly from Australia tomorrow can't wait - 2days at WDW then cruise here we come. I hope it warms up a bit so we can all enjoy the pools and drink some yummy cocktails in the sun. See everyone soon

We were lucky enough to get an 11 - 11:30 check-in time. We will be up by the pools as soon as we board. Come look for us by the 'Duck! I'll be the fat, middle-aged brunette in the lounge chair. :lmao: DD will be on the 'Duck.

See y'all Sunday!!

I think we also have an 11:30 check in, not sure, my wife has those details at hand. Not sure what we're going to do when we get on the ship, it's our first cruise and we might go explore.

Lol! My sister's comment after looking at my DCL photos a few years ago: "Oh look, all the women have mommy bodies!" She doesn't have kids.

We are all better, too. Just a short-lived head cold. The kids are going to school for a half day tomorrow, but I'm pulling them out at lunch and we leave in afternoon. Beach Club, here we come!

See ya real soon!

Hello to all, my lovely wife, two sons ( 13 & 3/4 and 9 ) and I will be on this cruise. DVC members for several years, but first time cruisers. I'm not a fan of open water and already having a panic attack! :-)

I have not read the entire thread yet, but I'll try to make my way through. I've found some great tips while lurking here over the last few months. Hope to meet some nice people.

I know my older son will be fine, he has no trouble making friends, but my younger son is very shy and I'm hoping he makes some friends on there. I have no problem hanging with him the whole time, but I think he'd have more fun with a buddy or two to hang with.

We're staying at the Hyatt on Saturday before sail date so maybe we'll meet some of you there!:)

We will be waiting to see you in sunny Central Florida. It seems like it will be a little cool when we get onboard, so have a light sweater or jacket handy. See Ya soon!
