SO EXCITED! First cruise ever and going to celebrate our 35th anniversary with kids and grandkids! Can't wait!:goodvibes

My son and his wife will be on this cruise with us. They lived in eagle river for 2 years and we visited there. Beautiful place. Loved it

Hello Everyone ~
We will be joining this cruise as well and we can't wait. We are coming from Cape York in Australia and thought we would try a cruise before heading north for a white christmas (never happens in tropical Queensland). My DH Jon, DS Joshua (8) and DD Caitlin (7) and myself are being joined by my sister and my parents. We went on an Alaskan cruise with Disney earlier this year and loved it. Cant wait to be back cruising

Added both you guys, welcome!! Gfndsuzi - I assumed you were female, sorry if I got the gender wrong...

I've been super busy with work and fishing around for airfare now. Not sure why but I listened to my husband and didn't book a ridiculously low $84pp roundtrip, nonstop, with all taxes and fees because this particular airport is an additional 45 minutes each way and the times weren't ideal. :headache: If I see it again, I'm totally snapping it up. Of course it's no longer available, I checked the next day. :headache::headache:

How's everyone else doing?

Hi everyone, we are getting excited, we have been slowly collating our FEs:thumbsup2 the kids have loved getting involved. Hope everyone else is well. Take care the count down is on:yay:

My family is so excited to be taking our very first cruise! We are veteran Disney goers, and visit the parks every year, but this will be our very first cruise ever! We are joining my brother and his wife and our parents for thier 35th Wedding Vow renewal! Any feedback for first time disney cruisers is much appreciated! Thanks!!

I'm so glad you are joining us. Congrats to your parents on their Vow Renewal!

Hi everyone - I haven't checked on these boards in a while...the time has been flying by. I can't believe it's already September!

Since we'll be out of town, we just decided last week to NOT decorate the house for xmas. We'll put up a wreath and maybe get a small tabletop tree, but we are giving ourselves a break from setting up the tree, stockings, etc. Usually we put everything out on Thanksgiving weekend and pack it away after New Years. As much as I HEART decorating for the holidays, I'm really excited to have a break and let DCL do the decorating.

We haven't booked air yet as there was some doubt in July/August that we could go, but it looks confirmed now. The airfare from PDX is RIDICULOUS. It will cost us almost as much in air as the cruise. Yikes. :scared1:

Glad to see so many young teens on the cruise. If anyone wants to connect with my DD Megan (14) before the cruise, PM me! She would love to make acquaintances before we go. We are also doing the B2B with the 12/22 cruise.

Thanks Krista for managing the FE thread!

Laura in Oregon

Hi Laura,

I am so glad you are still coming on the cruise. I understand about the airfare, we are driving from Kentucky because the prices were so scary. Are you flying in the day before? Where are you staying? We are booking at the Residence Inn.

Since this is our first cruise (and first FE exchange) I hope that I am doing everything correctly. :rolleyes1

See you real soon,
Krista

Hi Krista -

We are coming in the day before (takes most of the day to travel from west coast), and we are staying at the Hyatt MCO. We did that last year on our cruise and really enjoyed the convenience. You are literally right inside the airport and the Hyatt gets your luggage to the ship for you.

You are doing great on the FE list! Here's a photo of the Fish Extender I made for last year's trip.

Laura, that is so cute! My mom and I don't have ours together yet. We have the fabric and supplies, but they are setting in a bag waiting for us. :lmao: my oldest daughter, Ann, turns 9 on Oct. 4, so I guess I need to start planning her birthday party before I do anything else.

Hello, good news and bad news. I will no longer be able to go on this cruise :sad1: so someone else should track the list of those going.

Good news for me is that I think we can go the week before.

I hope everyone has an awesome trip!

Sorry you will not be going with us. Have a great time on your trip.

The countdown is on..... My DS (7) and DD (5) remind me everyday of different items we are going to need to pack for this cruise! It's so cute. I'm so looking forward to getting out of the Minnesota cold for a while in December! I've already started making my FE gifts and seem to keep coming up with more ideas as I go along! LOL-

We are doing the countdown here too. Every weekend we ask Kate what she wants to do and she says "Get on Mickey's Boat". :rotfl:

Tomorrow we finally get to do the online check in and sign up for excursions. :woohoo: We will also be celebrating Ann's 9th birthday. :yay:
