Dec 18, 2011 - Disney Dream

I will be going to the Jellystone Campground in Burleson in two weeks. I will check it out to see if that might be a good place for us all to meet - they would have large group rooms, pools, lazer tag, and activities for the kids if that sounds like a good idea to you all! It is not quite Disney, but I'm thinking it would be an option for everyone. We would even be up for a camping weekend - we could put a Disney spin on it - let me know if that sounds fun!

It's official! My mom is joining us. She made her reservation today! Babysitter on board! Woohoooo!

Hi all! We are sailing on this cruise. I booked back in December of 2010 but just found the meets boards. We booked it after returning from a 7 day trip to DisneyWorld. Disboards has been sooo helpful in planning all things Disney! The whole family is excited : DH, DD 12 by then, and DS 9. We'll be in a verandah on deck 7.

It was going to be our first cruise. Now it will be the kids first cruise. Yet, DH & I just spontaneously booked a Eastern Caribbean cruise on the celebrity Solstice for the first week in April. Less than a month away! The kids will be in school & w/ grandma.

I am hoping we will like cruising as much as we think we will. :rotfl: Apparently booking cruises is addictive. ;)

Welcome! I'm sure you will love it and yes, it is very addictive!

OK, the Jellystone Park in Burleson, TX was wonderful! There is a big room where we could meet for free. They are in the process of building a huge water park, they already have lazer tag, fire truck and hay rides as well as crafts and activities (and Yogi goes on the hay ride and does the morning pledge with the kids.) I think it would be a great place for anyone in driving distance to meet. I toured the cabins and trailers they have for rent as well - the cabins are beautiful - some with king size bed, jacuzzi and fireplace, others with two queens and bunk beds - so something for everyone - as well as great RV spots and even places to tent camp if you are into that! Another family we went camping with are now planning on joining us in December! We reserved a few campsites and trailer for July 4th weekend. It will be Friday - Monday. If you don't want to spend the night or weekend, then we can just plan a time on either Saturday or Sunday for the group meet - We are in sites 1, 6, 7, & 8 at this point, so if you want to book in our area it is close to all the activities! It was not too booked up yet, but once the water park becomes visable off I35 I think especially a holiday weekend will fill up! It will be a fun weekend and a great chance to meet before out trip in December! PM me if you are interested!

WOW! That sounds like a cool place! I'll have to check further into it but we'd love to meet up with others from the cruise!

Sounds great! Will take a look at the summer schedule...

I'm so excited to be joining all of you for this pre-Christmas cruise. This will be our first cruise ever and of course it had to be Disney! The price was right so we booked it today! It will be Me (Joy), DH (Michael) Twin DD's 13 and our youngest DD 8. Our girls love making new friends so hopefully we can link up with other Disers on this thread who have girls in their age range so they can get to know each other before we sail.

We had a really hectic WDW trip last year and I could tell DH was really burned out. I'm sure this will be a far more relaxing vacation. We are going to be staying at SSR for 1 night pre-cruise and Kidani 4 nights post cruise. We will only be doing 2 park days this trip. MK and Epcot. Hopefully this will get the Disney magic rekindled for DH. The rest of us are pure Disney junkies so it will only make us worse I'm sure.

I'm really looking foreward to the restaurants, clubs and shows and I know the twins will love having independence on a vacation for the first time. We'll probably only see them at dinner and show time. It will be great for DH and I to get some alone time on a vacation for once. We only do 1 vacation a year and it is a family one so this will be great for us.

I don't know anything about how to arrange an FE exchange but that would be great if someone has experience with it and would be willing to set it up.:santa:

Just wait until after you go, then you'll REALLY be addicted! We *love* cruising!

Awesome plans!

We will be staying at Bay Lake Tower and will be doing Grand Gathering events for the first time! We are really looking forward to it.

We booked this about a week ago. Saw a great price and snagged it. We have a paid reservation on the 5 nt. 12/29, but I'm not sure that's going to work, so I booked this one too. We'll know in the next few weeks which will work best and I'll just transfer the deposits. I am a single mom traveling with my son who will have just turned 12 the week before the cruise and my daughter who will turn 11 just 3 days after the cruise (Christmas Day). I see good rates for two coming up frequently, so I may snag a spot for my parents too.

We were originally booked on the 5 nt 12/29 cruise, but the dates and price were better for us on this one! Welcome and hope you end up with us on this one!

Okay, we're official!

We cancelled the 12/29 and moved all deposits to the 12/18. I also made a deposit on a connecting room for my parents. It's a surprise for them! :) My mom went on the 5/10 Wonder Cruise we went on and loved it and was excited to bring my dad back. So, I booked them and will tell them at Mother's Day (I figure it can be the Mother's Day, Father's Day, birthdays - July & September, and Christmas gift.). I am so excited!

We are CAT 9B, Rooms 2512 and 2514 connecting.

Pawpaw 64

While we are sad to have to cancel this cruise, the Magic heading to Galveston will save us a bunch of money. Wish we did not have to wait an extra year though! Y'all have a great time without us :goodvibes

Hello everyone! I would love to be on this cruise but I haven't been able to book yet. I have a reservation on RCLs FOS for the same time but after reading reviews I am concerned that we'll be disappointed. Even though we've been on 6 cruises(2 on RCL), after our Magic cruise in 2009, it's hard to imagine cruising any other line. We are a family of four and so far there are no inside or oceanview quad rooms available and unfortunatley two connecting aren't possibe. I will keep looking and I figured I would subscribe to this thread just in case anyone cancels a quad room and to get to know you guys since, hopefully, we will get on this cruise. Hoping for a little pixie dust. :wizard:
