Dec 1 Wonder

We'll be with you on December 1. My sons are 11 and 14. I'm also looking for boys their ages.

We'll be with you too, but my children are 3 and 16 months. I do believe however, that Misswit and Okidoc are traveling with 7 year old daughters.

we will be there.master william [2] will be leading the group. in tow will be the parents, the maternal and paternal grandparents, two aunts and a cousin.

My 14 year old son (15 on New year's Eve!) is driving me crazy. He's at "that age". He says he is going to spend the whole cruise in our cabin. How do I get him over his shyness?

It's good to hear who is going on Dec. 1. I hope we all get to meet!

We got our documents yesterday and I cannot belive how soon we will be cruising!!!

I have 2 sons-ages 6,T.J. and 8, Liam(as 11/27 will be 8), and a little Princess named Maired, who is 4.

Perhaps we can have the boys send each other an e-mail as the time gets close so they can look forward to meeting on board.

Carol-RE: a teenage son-perhaps through this board, your son can "meet" another kid his age and get in touch w/ him or her. I didn't even realize there were any teens on the last cruise I was on-they seemd to really enjoy themselves and the freedom. In speaking to alot of parent w/teens(that is how I knew there were any), they said the kids had a beeper and could let there parents know where they were or they "Checked-in" every once and a while. The cruise also had shore excursions for teens only. Besides, the cabin will be sooo boring w/ all of the other places to go on the ship-the videos, basketball, etc.

Hi,

We also will be sailing pn the Dec. 1st cruise with my 8 year old niece. She was 7 last year in December when we went, so she should be pretty comfortable with most of the ship by now if you need any help. :)

 I am traveling with a 6 year old daughter and 12 year old son, who will turn 13 in January. I've been keeping the cruise a secret but wonder now if I should tell them and let my pre-teen "e-meet" some of the other boys his age. I know he'll want to hang with the teens, yet will be with the 9-12 year olds (where he belongs and where I truly prefer him). If I decide to let him get together with some others his age on this board, are there others interested? BTW, although my DD is very outgoing and will easily make friends, I may decide to include her in this arrangement. Any takers with 5-7 year old girls?

What is the age breakdown for the groups?

Howie-I have a 4 yr. old girl who is used to keeping up w/her older brothers.

Howie,
My son is is 11, he'll be 12 next June. But he's used to older boys because of his 14 year old brother and his friends. I'd like for my Stephen to emeet your son so he already know somebody onboard. Let me know if you decide to tell him!

Carolinm2:

I've pretty much decided to tell the kids on the Sunday evening prior to the cruise (we'll be going to Orlando for 4 days before shipping out). Once I've done this, I'll have my son reply by post and you can send back by pm if you want, probably Monday night. I think it would be great to set the kids up with each other, if only to alleviate some of that first days' jitters.

In reply to Nezy's post, I believe they break down the ages 3 and 4, and then 5 to 7. And, what was I thinking? My DD is 5, not 6, but apparently her 15 year old personality is confusing me!

Can't wait!

Howie-
we will be at Wilderness Lodge Villas starting on Sun. prior to cruise. Can't wait.

I am not sure if I should put DS in 7yr. old or 8yr. old ag group. He will be 8 on 11/27. I will have to look into the various activities and see what would suit him best, I guess. He is really looking forward to it though.

I am cruising December 1st as well!! My first cruise and I am very excited...I will have DH, my DS who is 5 and my DD who is 3!! :):):)

Howie,
That sounds great. We will arrive on Thanksgiving Day--staying at the Dolphin/Swan. I'll let Stephen know. Caroline
