OK, I'm going to cancel my 12/31-01/01 SSR studio Reservation... anyone want it before I do?

United decided to change our return flight out of Orlando and gave us one with a LONG layover. Not great for my 8 month old. So we added another night to our trip and we're now leaving on the 27th. Unfortunately we had to WL VWL for the 26th but did manage to snag a studio at OKW in the meantime. Fingers crossed but we're happy for the extra night!

Finally something broke loose, I have been on the waitlist since May for 2 nights to add to our vaction. Finally I got a 2 bdrm at AKV Dec 13 & 14 and then we move to VWL 15-18.. It pays to call

You call? I thought they automatically put the nights through if they were available?

Well I took your advice and called and a studio was avail. for the 26th!! I guess it does pay to call. Thanks!!

When you guys call to check availability even though you're on the wait list, do you mention that you're on the waitlist? Because when I called the other day and said I just wanted to check availability even though I'm on the waitlist the cast member gave me a hard time. He told me there's no point in checking availability because if there's a match, my waitlist will clear. After hearing so many people on here tell other stories, I don't believe this. Has anyone else had a hard time with cast members not wanting to check availability due to a waitlist already being in place?

I just called to check on my waitlist for a 2 bedroom AKV villa on 12/2. I have a one bedroom but we'd prefer the extra space of a 2 bedroom for the 5 of us (we move to VWL on 12/3, just wanted the kids to have one night at AKV). I was told my waitlist expired, even though it was supposed to be active until 7 days before. I give up, it doesn't seem to pay to add the waitlist back at this point as I assume that after many months of waiting, I'd be back at the end of the line.

After I checked Dec I asked the CM to check my March waitlist for me for AKV concierge. She told me that it hadn't matched yet and if there was an opening it would go to the waitlisted people first. She wouldn't check for me.

The CM I talked to today didn't give me any grief at all! Nada. She was more then happy to do it and said she was glad she did. I guess it just depends on who you get. How frustrating though.

OMG!!! I waitlisted for a BCV studio for 12/7-12/11 back at the 7 month mark and it has finally come through. Here is to believing in the magic and never giving up!! I hope the magic is spread around today

I have been on the list since the 7 month mark for any size at BW. I do call periodically to check availability. so this morning when I called, they had a one bedroom available and I booked it! I was very happy, but also disturbed at why I have been on the wait list and it did not come through! It just seems, as many have said before, that the waitlist has some issues with it. So I now have a one bedroom on December 11th.

Congratulations! I agree with you. I am a bit confused on how the waitlist is actually implemented.

You can remove our waitlist request as we have decided to come in earlier in Nov and we waitlisted in Nov.

Finally! Today, my waitlist came through! We had been waitlisted since early June for one night to add to our existing reservation. We got a studio at BCV for 12/12 to add to our other 5 nights. Now we won't have to move to BWV and someone may can use that BWV studio we had for that night.

I'm waitlisted at OKW for a 1BR 12/29 to 1/2 which was made at the 7 month window.

I currently have a reservation for a 1BR at OKW from 1/2 to 1/10 and need the 4 days at the beginning of our trip.

Today, I called and asked for any availability anywhere in a 1 or 2 BR. He said a few resorts had a day here or there, but I think he said that only AKL was completely booked. I ended up getting a reservation for the night of 1/1 at BCV and I waitlisted for the first 3 days at BCV too. If none of the waitlists come throught, I have a reservation at the Dolphin for those first 3 nights.

I definitely don't care for this waitlist system. I'm sure there's someone out there who needs that day as part of a pending waitlist, and it just doesn't seem right that me or anyone else can just call and grab a day like that. I wish they'd go back to the old way, where days were added as they became available.

I snagged a studio at VWL last week for 12/5 and 12/6, and I'm going to be cancelling it tomorrow morning. I see a few names on the waitlist for those dates, so I wanted to give you the heads-up in case you want to call in the morning and try and snag those days to fill in some of your waitlist.

We were waitlisted for a 1 Br. at BCV for Nov 29 to Dec 3. Juswt came through this Wednesday. We've been on the list since the 7 month mark. I'd all but given up, but we got it. Of course that also means that someone who was waitlisted for a studio for those dates at the BWV got their request, because that is what we had prior to our witlist coming through.

It's too bad we don't have some sort of trade system. I'm sure someone has a 2BR at VWL on 12/2, but they need X on 12/2.

That's for sure. I'm sitting on a 2BR at VWL for 12/22-26 and a 1BR and a studio for 12/21. I'm waiting for a 2BR at AKV for 12/21-26. It would be hilarious, if someone at AKV had what I want and I have what they want. But there is no way to find out and trade.

Well, I called this morning per everyone's advice and did not mention my waitlist, merely asked for availability on 12/31 for a 2 bdrm. Well, the lovely CM put me on hold for a few mins, came back and said I was in luck, she was just able to grab something for me!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now mind you, Im as ecstatic as all heck but, what was the point of my never ending waitlist??????? Something is DEFINITELY wrong somewhere. Good luck to those still waiting...
