I called yesterday and booked a BW view studio for 12/5 and 12/6. Had to waitlist for 12/4 and 12/7. At this late date I'm not expecting the WL to come through, but I was completely shocked they had any availability at all for a few of the days.

UPDATE: I cancelled my 2 nights at BWV (Boardwalk View) for 12/5 & 12/6. Someone call and grab them!

I booked 12/5-12/8 at OKW (studio). I'm now waitlisted for 12/4 at OKW (studio).


I see that the dates I'm booking are what others are waiting for on their waitlists (sorry!!) Since the dates don't match exactly to your waitlist they went back into availability, so please keep calling and maybe you can get a day or 2 at a time on your waitlist!

Good for you! I won't risk getting only one of my nights because I've invited a friend (don't know if she's coming or not) but would hate for her to experience a move for such a short stay.

I had been on a waitlist for a BCV studio for Dec 12 (to add to our prior 5 nights there) and had a studio at VWL booked, which we would have to move for only 1 day.
Since we have lots of plans in Epcot the night of Dec 12, decided yesterday to check availability at BWV --since that would definitely be more convenient than VWL our last night. Yesterday afternoon, there is no studio, but this morning there was----- so we canceled VWL and booked at Boardwalk and are still waitlisted at BCV.
But I do feel a lot better knowing at least we are within walking distance after the CP and Illuminations on that Friday night.
Thanks to whomever canceled at Boardwalk and congratulations to the person who gets the Dec 12th at VWL.

OMG!!! I waitlisted for a BCV studio for 12/7-12/11 back at the 7 month mark and it has finally come through. Here is to believing in the magic and never giving up!! I hope the magic is spread around today

How often is your account info updated on the dvcmember site? I'm on a waitlist; should I check once a day?

Due to a family medical emergency, I was left with 67 points in my holding account which expire 3/1/09. Since I can only book 60 days in advance, I called 10/15 and wait listed AKV Concierge Studio or 1-BR for 12/6-12/8.

I have been waitlisted for a studio at OKW for December 7-11. I have SSR for those dates and OKW right before and right after. Been waitlisted since the 7 month window opened.

When I asked to either add to the end of the first OKW ressie or the start of the other OKW ressie.... she says "hmmm let me see what I can do" And she put me on hold for however long the song for Wishes is

When she came back, she told me she tried to get me December 10 but when she went to grab it, it was taken by a waitlist. So someone that had only Dec 10 got their wish today!

I did change the 7th and 10th to single days on the waitlist, so we may be able to piece it all together. She did encourage me to keep calling back. It is tough for me to call during the day because I work, but I will try again.

Still no luck on the December 28-January 2 waitlist, but we decided to add a night onto our trip today. I was calling member services basically just to get on the waitlist for the night of December 23rd for a 1 or 2 bedroom anywhere. I assumed there would be no availability anywhere. The CM I was talking to was telling me how December has been booked up for months and months when all of a sudden he said "wait, it looks like I have a one bedroom garden/pool view at Boardwalk Villas the night of the 23rd." We grabbed it! Now we'll be staying BWV 1 night, SSR 5 nights (paying cash), Vero Beach 4 nights, and then SSR 3 nights. Still waitlisted for those 5 nights on cash. It'll be a lot of moving, but an extra night in Disney World is an extra night in Disney World, right?

Tried again this morning and nothing for a Studio at OKW December 7-11.

But if someone needs just December 9 for a Studio at OKW, there is one available and has been for a couple of days.

Hi I cancelled 12/9 studio at OKW. My waitlist for any studio 12/6-12/8 got totally messed up by Member Services. I requested any studio at any resort and I found out yesterday they only put me on for BWV! Needless to say I am disappointed since we were put on this waitlist in September. I called to check on it regularly and nothing was said to me that it was only for the one resort and not even OKW to boot to match the 12/9 reservation!

I have been on the list since the 7 month mark for any size at BW. I do call periodically to check availability. so this morning when I called, they had a one bedroom available and I booked it! I was very happy, but also disturbed at why I have been on the wait list and it did not come through! It just seems, as many have said before, that the waitlist has some issues with it. So I now have a one bedroom on December 11th.

You can remove our waitlist request as we have decided to come in earlier in Nov and we waitlisted in Nov.

Finally! Today, my waitlist came through! We had been waitlisted since early June for one night to add to our existing reservation. We got a studio at BCV for 12/12 to add to our other 5 nights. Now we won't have to move to BWV and someone may can use that BWV studio we had for that night.

When you guys call to check availability even though you're on the wait list, do you mention that you're on the waitlist? Because when I called the other day and said I just wanted to check availability even though I'm on the waitlist the cast member gave me a hard time. He told me there's no point in checking availability because if there's a match, my waitlist will clear. After hearing so many people on here tell other stories, I don't believe this. Has anyone else had a hard time with cast members not wanting to check availability due to a waitlist already being in place?

Not at all. They even encouraged me to call back several times a day!

Shows that there may be an issue with the wait list process.

I have never had a CM give me hard time. Even today, she said "oh, I see you are waitlisted..." but there was still something in the system I snagged eventhough my wiatlist did not get it.
