I am getting nervous about my waitlist...basically the 7-14 BWV but I have the 10/11 already...no word at all...my Dec flight was cancelled...and now I have to wade through SWA tomorrow...I just need some pixie dust

I called MS today to check on my 12/7 waitlist for the one night at SSR and while I was on the phone a 1 bedroom opened up. Now I have my whole December trip booked and no more waitlist checking. I have a studio from 12/5-6 and a 1 bedroom from 12/7-12 all at SSR.

Congratulations! I believe this is the first report of a successful 12/7 waitlist coming through! I hope that means we will see a few more.

I keep meaning to call and check on mine since the new booking and waitlist policies kicked in.



btw, does anything else think it is strange that you had a Waitlist that didn't trigger when there was a room available?

Southwest airlines opened up December today... I have 2 vouchers to use... and NO availability unless I travel on XMAS - and on Monday after NYE. I'm doing it because I was getting $450 quotes for rt per person.

Dec. 25, 26 - Studio or 1 BR anywhere
Jan. 4 - Studo or 1 BR anywhere

THis is crazy!!!!

Still no success on my other WL which were placed at 10 months... but I did check with MS and wait lists are still there.

We just booked SW for 12/12 and return on 12/19...$250 per person round trip...We usullay get it for around $190...So there is an increase but at least bags are free.

I check at least 2-3 times a day online to see if I've picked up 12/7. I'm glad someone finally got that day, but it wasn't via Waitlist directly, so I'm a bit concerned yet. I guess a lot of people are arriving that day.

What I find strange is, I was able to get the rooms on either side of it ... it's like someone is staying just one day? I seem to get stuck like that often with waitlists, and it seems ... odd ... doesn't it?

I was going to try the day by day, but didn't want to get stuck moving from place to place in case just some of the days went through. So I did it for the whole trip and no luck so far

Yah, I don't get it ... unless they're holding back inventory on Sundays? But what would that gain them? Unless they're trying to get people to book in Cash? It'd odd to just have that day open. If it was a Fri/Sat, it would make a little more sense cause we could say it was point cost, people staying offsite, etc that would leave the room open. But to be able to book Fri, Sat, and Mon ... and have the open Sunday just doesn't make any sense.

I'm still waiting on Dec. 1 BCV studio because I have to fly back on a Monday for THanksgiving trip.

Dec. 25 (yes, flying out at XMAS) - OKW studio
Dec. 26 OKW studio - waitlisting Dec. 25, 26 for BCV studio
Dec. 27 BCV studio

So atleast I can use points...

but wow - too many moves....

I'm hoping to get it down to: BCV -> AKV -> SSR + studio

Congrats on the waitlist coming through, but I am a little confused by this. Does this mean the member was at the top of the waitlist when they called so the room would have gone to them whether they called or not, or did they just give it to them because they happened to be on the phone? I don't know if I'm making any sense...

Just to clarify...if I already have a day by day waitlist in place, it's still there, right? The no day by day waitlisting is just for new reservations?
