A question - do you think I will have any luck at all getting a 2BR at VWL for Dec. 21st at 7 months (May 22). I just need that one night. I already have a 2BR for Dec. 22-25 but need to add that one night. I also have a Studio for the 21st already, but will cancel that one if a 2BR is available. My fall back is to just pay cash for a WL room for the 21st (if available). If not, that 1 studio is going to be mighty crowded with four adults in it.

WolfpackFan, I know that about two weeks ago they still had some two bedrooms available in later December. If you don't already have a cash ressie back up, I would go ahead and book a DVC one, or try to and that way you are assured of a two bedroom in case you don't get it. They can link the ressies. If you happen to get your two bedroom villa at the 7 month, just cancel the cash ressie. Good luck!!

vbarry, GOOD LUCK!! We invited friend for our trip in December AFTER we had made our own ressies so now we are on the waitlist for a two-bdrm. They know that it might not work out. If not, we will all go in June, but that doesn't keep me from checking the DVC site ALLLLL the time!!! Are you going to take them to Citricos and the Flying Fish?

We are waitlisted for a studio or a 1 bedroom on 12/11/08 at AKV. We have a studio before our 4 day Wonder cruise and a studio on 12/12-12/14. I was told when I tried booking the 11th they didn't have a single studio, 1 or 2 bedroom available and that AKV was the most popular post-cruise resort. We've been on the waitlist since January.

We are wait listed for Dec 7th-14th, for a Studio at AKV. Added to wait list 03/22. We are not feeling like it gonna happen for us - almost seems like it could be impossible to get.

Hanover-have you made a cash ressie backup? Tried for a dvc cash ressie backup, not sure if any remain, but that is an option just in case your waitlist doesn't come through. Good luck!

Budahman-good luck! from what I have read, it sounds like the 7th is the toughest day of your list! I hope you get your week, that is a great time to go!

We are going to try the Flying Fish...hopefully it will be ok. We will have four kids when our friends arrive. This is their first trip to Disney and our first Christmas. I hope it goes o.k. They may not get to see everything but I am sure they will have a good time!

Don't know yet, I am trying to only check twice a day !
So glad you are trying the Flying Fish. We are eating there twice in June, and did the same twice last June. It is my favorite on property. My kids have been eating there for years, and there are always kids in there. Off to check the website..really don't expect any change until the 7 month mark unless someone has a "change of plans".

I actually meant to say that we would try BWV also. We staying there for the first time in May. And I'll need some luck for those dates. That's a busy time for all DCV resorts

Well, I added myself to the will waitlist at 7 months list. My hope will be either BCV and/or BWV since I haven't tried either one. Of course, I would be happy at AKV if they don't come through. But it is nice to try other resorts.

That's how we feel about SSR. We love staying there, but sometimes you want to go somewhere else. Next we'll try AKV then hopefully CRV

Oh shoot, I saw that someone had posted and thought maybe someone had gotten their waitlist..I know that we will probably have to wait until the 7 month window for the dominos to start to fall, but a girl can hope. Pixie dust to everyone!

As far as the BCV and BWV, it will probably depend upon how far down the waitlist you are when you call and how many people with existing ressies want to move/and can move.

Well, I decided to add a day to my trip. So I called MS this afternoon and of course, there is nothing available at AKV for 12/3. So I added 12/3 to my waitlist for a 1 BR savanna view.

Also I checked on the 12/7 date that I am still waiting for and the CM told me that AKV is totally sold out for both 12/3 and 12/7.
