Had a good time at WDW, it’s been two years since last went and everything is familiar yet new. We did rope drop at HS, AK, and Epcot, but never hit MK rope drops. In HS, Star Tours had some new to me scenes that I half watched as that ride makes me a bit off to continuously watch the screen, definitely scenes seemed different to me. Hollywood Studios was great new addition with Toy Storyland (yet a very crazy crowded pushy rope drop) but I missed not having the Great Movie Ride. We did all the rides there and no shows as much group doesn’t like shows so much (but I do, so we vary in the parks a few here and there) so left early afternoon. I feel like in a year, it’s going to be a park we would stay longer in when the new rides come in. We also messed up our bus time missing the earlier bus in the morning, so ended up having to call an Uber. I saw the new gondolas in test motion outside HS.
Animal Kingdom the Pandora ride fills up extremely fast once park opened, but we had a fast pass for later and went to Kali river instead, not realizing it didn’t open until 10, so that meant trekking to a different side and losing rope drop time, and went over to Dinosaur.
Epcot, loved the topiaries throughout the park, it’s all very pretty. So many food choices right now with Flower and Garden. We also didn’t stick long at Epcot, left early and went to MK.
MK we did just about everything, pretty close minus meeting all the characters. The kids were amazed with Be Our Guest and how the cast member with the cart and our order finds us.
Weather was pretty great, just a bit of rain, nothing like we get in summer, in fact had many clear days this trip and not the same humidity level. We’ve never gone outside of summertime and I have to say, I like it better in April. Hot yet not wanting to melt at 9 a.m. I’d probably like early fall, too. Anyway, lots of good things to say this trip. Have to figure out the spending damage, did a quick tally yesterday. I think I stayed pretty much in line with what I figured we’d spend. The trip began stressful the night before leaving with a family issue outside of our house but family, anyway I had to deal with right then and there or I’d be dealing with it on the trip, so the trip could have started smoother, now have some budgeting rearranging I now need to do I didn’t anticipate so early and happen the night before leaving. Still had to pack, stressful, always something it seems. Hard to believe summer is right around the corner! We stopped and listened to a quick bit on the DVC while in Disney, seems interesting. Not sure if we’d come here that often though, currently thinking I’d like a cruise next! I’m revisiting May expenses later next week, going through credit card statements as we intermixed using my CSP, Freedom, and DH’s Amex. Publix instacart to the hotel gave us 5% on the Freedom for the grocery this quarter, didn’t think that would code as groceries, but anyway, that’s the story, I didn’t have any gift cards.
